  1. No, there clearly isn't a decline after '23. The performance matches the '20-'21 output. No decline!
  2. You clearly didn't read my post. 18-19 was the highpoint of his career. He had career years at age 24 and 25. It's not a big surprise there. I don't think the years afterwards are indicative of a decline. 20 120 wRC+ 21 114 wRC+ 22 137 wRC+ (another very good year) 23 125 wRC+ 24 117 wRC+ 25 125 wRC+ no decline!!! He was as good in 24-25 as he was in 20-21.
  3. He'll be wearing #64. If you have a green city connect Criswell jersey, you can wear it tonight.
  4. He's not pulling the ball in the air this year. It's pull heavy, but all into the ground.
  5. Living in FL, I throw caution to the wind every time I leave the house.
  6. They've had Youk, Vaz and Dalbec play there. Why not Schwarber?
  7. It's Friday. I'm not doing any work today unless I really have to.
  8. Romero isn't ready yet. Wouldn't add him to the 40 man unless he was really ready to contribute.
  9. Eugenio has a 219 tOPS+ at Fenway. Loves hitting here. If Masa wasn't on the squad, he would have been a fine DH. He's a much better hitter once it gets to July 1st too (July - Sept OPS over 815).
  10. Grady Sizemore isn't around anymore. The ladies need some sizzle, per Tom.
  11. I think baseball was probably at its peak at whenever anyone was either 9 or first got into it (if older).
  12. What decline? He had two career years then seemed to level off between 115-125 wRC+ or so. I think you can expect a year or two to be up or down from there, but he's been pretty consistent. That's like saying Mookie Betts declined after his age 25 season in 2018 because he had a 10.2 fWAR and went back down to 5.8 fWAR.
  13. I'd figure it out as I'm a very smart person. No difference between the production of their 1/10 pitchers and contracts that would be much smaller. Schwarber 4/79 (19.75 AAV) vs Masa 5/90 (18 AAV) Swanson 7/177 (25.3 AAV) vs Story 6/140 (23.3 AAV) I increased payroll by 4M per year. Ooops!
  14. Right now, Durbin is absolutely terrible and I would sub in Eaton for him.
