  1. Hunter Noll had an article on KC today. In 2026, Campbell is pulling the ball less (38.2%). His opposite field percentage has actually dropped to 33.8%, while he’s hitting the ball to the center of the field 27.9% of the time. Campbell’s also hitting the ball on the ground less this year, going from 52.2% to 41.2%. His line drive rate has dropped from 30.1% to 26.5%, meaning his fly ball rate has jumped significantly from 17.7% to 32.4%. Almost all of those numbers point to positive progression for Campbell; some of the numbers (notably the slugging percentage) haven’t caught up yet. If you aren’t just box score watching, you’ll see that Kristian Campbell is making strides and has every chance to still become the impact player that the Red Sox need. Don’t be surprised if he returns to the majors at some point in 2026 and helps the team as they try to right the ship, but he still needs more time to prepare for that promotion.
  2. Looks like the right handed Sultan of Swat to me!
  3. Let's see him swing! Maybe he can hit has 110 exit velo in him.
  4. Anthony is 85th percentile in LA sweet-spot%. Rafaela is 71st (up from previous years).
  5. Since we don't want to move the goalposts, how about this goalpost? Is that what you're going with?
  6. You also have Brandon Clarke listed and he's not here anymore.
  7. That would make the game watchable. We can't even get that kinda fun this year.
  8. Arias shouldn't come up until Sept anyway. You move Story because you are turning the page as an org.
  9. They can't all be beefcakes like Aaron Judge's hitting coach, right?
  10. If we could go back in time and not sign Story, I think everyone would be happy. Just pull the band-aid off.
  11. Not saying they should, just questioning a point that said they couldn't.
  12. Story is one of Cora's buddies. I think he's not a fan of the Driveline stuff. He's not here long term. I don't see a point in keeping him around. Brez needs to find "his guys" and elevate them.
  13. TBH, I think the white flag is up, but Brez doesn't realize it.
  14. I don't know what changes Durbin would make. He's just hitting the ball on the ground more than last year. I don't know if it's a swing profile thing or pitchers are pitching him differently. Last year, he did a little better with pitches on the outer half of the plate and he's been dogwater with them so far this year. He's still swinging at everything so maybe he comes out of it. IDK. He doesn't have a huge ceiling so it's not like he's going to tear the cover off the ball once he gets going. I'd cut my losses on Trevor Story. Move Mayer to SS. Move Rafaela to 2B. Story isn't here long term. No point in investing anytime in him going forward. I'd send him to COL and eat 90% of the contract.
  15. Coming off a playoff appearance, they really half assed the plans for this year. A BoSox team that isn't going to mash? Ok... Are they moving to the AL Central? 🫠
  16. So far this year, he's chasing less and k'ing less. However, he's not really barreling the ball as well as he did last season. He needs to go on a real heater like he did at the end of May last season. He was hitting 602 on May 27th and was up to 796 by the ASB (1024 over that stretch). He's a streaky guy, so maybe he can get going for a little while.
  17. Not really. Nobody here predicted a complete collapse and the entire Cora regime being canned.
  18. Honestly, if they dig themselves in too much of a hole, the whole team could get their stats back up and still be under .500.
  19. What if they had traded for Joe Ryan instead?
  20. If they don't turn the season around, it's on Breslow. Maybe he should have held onto Cora until September?
