  1. Was 2021 Chaim's 2013?
  2. The most likely scenario. All their eggs are in the Marcelo/Anthony/Teel basket.
  3. Per BTV: BOS Duran for HOU Javier Garcia Pressly $25M
  4. Chris Freakin' Sale Xander Freakin' Bogaerts JD Freakin' Martinez Mookie Freakin' Betts Rick Freakin' Porcello (CY Winner a la Keuchel) E Freakin' Rod Andrew Freakin' Benintendi ('21 GG, '22 AS) Nathan Freakin' Eovaldi (had a pretty good playoffs this year) Craig Freakin' Kimbrel (108 saves in 3 years for BOS, 3 AS games)
  5. Sox need to be willing to lose a trade if they actually want to compete this season. That's why the Sox always had one foot out the door under Bloom, he was never bold enough.
  6. Lose your fanbase and not win any more games with one weird trick!
  7. The problem comes when you compare a guy who pitches 50% in relief with a guy who pitches entirely in the rotation. There isn't a one to one correlation with their stats.
  8. Sox don't really need to add relief arms. If they were going to add a 7M relief arm, it should be a higher leverage guy. Martin only makes 8.8M.
  9. They may have no idea.
  10. And then Baseball America tanked the farm's ranking to 13th, so maybe waiting on the farm isn't a great idea. Yes, comical.
  11. For the Sox, a front line starter is anything better than Bello. I think you could get someone on a short term contract for Duran that is better than Bello.
  12. These rankings go up and down all the time. They are fairly unscientific. Cardinals have 5 top 100 prospects and are ranked 20th, FYI.
  13. I think our farm has a considerable dropoff. Maybe other teams don't dropoff as much as this farm currently does? The next tier may not be "all that bad" but it's not all that great either, which is most likely why they've pushed the org to 13 when you consider the lack of pitching talent as well. After Bleis, I don't think there's another prospect I'd be upset over losing aside from Cespedes.
  14. Junis to the Brewers for 1/7.
  15. No idea. I was just trying to find a reason for why they dropped. I wasn't completely stunned by it.
  16. That post was straight from the heart, just not mine.
  17. Hmmmmm......
  18. I'm sorry, but "might swing at a butterfly if it flew within 10 feet of him" is just a great line.
  19. Confirmation bias.
  20. IDK, it's an overall team ranking, not just a ranking of grouped 100 prospects.
  21. By your logic ARE THEY?
  22. He might want more $$$, but IDK.
  23. I'd give him the length, but not the total $$$'s. 10/125? It's less than Matt Olson's deal, but you're buying out pre-ARB and ARB years and he's a worse defender at the moment.
  24. More than the Sox have, that's for sure.
