Anderson has been awful. I know they still like him, but if he was drafted a few years ago, he'd be working out and waiting for Lowell to start. Lugo was a 50/50 split between 3B/LF last season. He's now completely entrenched in LF. With all the injuries, there'll be room for him to play anywhere in WOO.

On offense: Volpe Stanton Judge Soto Pitching: Cole (DNP) Cortes/Stroman/Rodon/Gil/Schmidt Sox only have Devers and Casas (out) that can compete with the Yanks offensively. Houck and Crawford have pitched as well as the Yankees rotation, but everyone else has been less than. Yankees have a higher payroll. Red Sox did a bad job developing players under Ben and DD. With Bloom, a lot of strides were made, but he drafted HS guys that took longer to develop so they just aren't ready yet. Also, there was no focus on pitching at all until Breslow. Sox are just hopelessly behind right now. It will take a few more years. No reason to be permanently pissed about it since we can't fix the problem ourselves.

Oh and today is Opening Day for the DSL. We did it! We made it all the way there!

Consider who he's been throwing with. 2/30

Yankees are good this year. Red Sox are not good this year. This is unsurprising to all of us.

I know they've been down on Meidroth ever since he's been drafted but the Sox have him playing all over the field and he's still getting on base. I think he's going to get a shot to be a UTIL guy at some point. I don't know if the bat will play with the extreme lack of power, but we'll see.

I think 25 is probably a little high for Lugo. The way I look at the standings is would I trade #25 for #26? Lugo is really a LF only glove now, which really hurts his profile and was repeating a level after struggling mightily for a full year. I don't think they'd push him really really hard. I think being cheeky and putting him at 31 is fine for now.

That only makes you feel better about him leaving.

A horse who has never thrown 180 innings.
  10. mvp 78
Only 4 pitchers last season got 4 seasons or more: Ohtani, Hicks, ERod and Nola. I don't think he's getting to 4 years.

Still not out yet. I would say: no change to top 3 Perales to 6 Meidroth is 11 Campbell is 12 Yorke is 13 Elmer to 14 Antonio Anderson into the 30s Penrod to 21 Early to 25 Jhostynxon and Wehunt into the 20s Lugo to #30

Lugo promoted to WOO. Campbell promoted to POR.

    Great pick by Smith.
  14. mvp 78
No, he’s just not a good control pitcher.

Rafaela has an arm. A few nice throws today.
  16. mvp 78
Hamilton needing to crowhop from short.
  17. mvp 78
    Patented big inning for Bello?
  18. mvp 78
He let Theo do his thing and let DD do his thing for a very short term. Otherwise, he hasn't really "let them do their thing."
  19. mvp 78
Well, you should have been around for the arguments 20 years ago when they wanted to put a new Fenway near the water.
  20. mvp 78
The fakest home sellout streak of all time. Scalpers had so many tickets they couldn't unload, but it would still count as a sellout for some games. Are you blaming COVID or the product on the field for the attendance?
  21. mvp 78
The franchise was good in spite of him.
  22. mvp 78
An average defense would have given them 8 more wins last year so by doing nothing they wanted 8 more wins this year!
  23. mvp 78
Before the season, we predicted anywhere from 70 to 82 wins. Nobody on here predicted high except in jest. Vegas had them at 77.5 wins. This team is not underachieving.
  24. mvp 78
Not ownership! They apparently thought this team as created was playoff material??? I don't get it.
  25. mvp 78
@BostonDotCom Sam Kennedy admits that 2024 Red Sox have ‘under-performed’ No, with the product you allowed to be put on the field, this is where we expected them to be. Ownership always pointing fingers at everyone else.
