    Why waste his at bats in Worcester. He's not going to learn anything more there? He's just going to keep hitting whatever he sees and OPS over 900. He needs to face some adversity and learn from it.

    He's too passive when he's worried about the strike zone. His whole batting approach is to see the ball and hit the ball. He's never going to be a great hitter. You just hope he gets about 700 OPS and move on with your life.

    He will NEVER master the strike zone. You get what you get with him. Why force something on him that will give you worse returns?

    Werner is a minority opinion who is put in front of the camera. There are many voices in the org, Werner's is one that gets drowned out. As I've said for a long time, Werner WANTS to spend. Henry does not. Werner will continue to advocate for spending. Right now, Henry has been able to shuffle the CBO's enough where nobody has been able to convince him to spend since DD in the afterglow of the WS.

    Michael A Taylor has a career 29.9% k rate. Why should Rafaela learn now? When he tried to be more patient last season, his production dropped.

    @gingersnaphyde Gonna miss my ginger brotherin Justin Turner. Solid bat & good guy. However, if the Red Sox are looking for a RHH vs LHP, Garrett Cooper is a solid + cheaper option. Turner in 23’ vs LHP- .285/.372/.528, 142 WRC+, $13M Cooper in 23’ vs LHP- .324/.375/.529, 145 WRC+, est $5-6M

    Why bring Taylor in when you already have Rafaela? Aren't they the same profile?

    A one year deal for a weak side platoon bat is nothing to worry about. At some point, maybe that spot is taken over by Blaze Jordan (993 OPS vs LHP in '23).

    If there is a clear path forward that we can believe in, I don't mind if the results don't show in the standings. We should be able to see the results in the minors and on the development of young players over the course of the year in BOS.
