He doesn't hold enough sway. He was right. They should have gone full throttle. They should have won more games last year but had bad defense. Sox would be better off if he was the primary owner.
Wong and McGuire have been hitting really well. They are kind of out of options with everything else. O'Neilll out. Raffy has a bad shoulder. Story done for the year. No interesting names to add until September at the earliest.
WOO: Fitts went 6 IP, 1 ER, 5 K, 0 BB
POR: Coffey went 5 IP, 2 ER, 7 K, 1 BB
GRE: big boy Bryan Gonzalez tater #4
SAL: Jhostynxon went 2 for 3 (his OPS is 998, brother's is 1135)
What has changed about him? Is it just that he has finally surrounded himself with yes men? Clearly, he wanted a Billy Beane type back in '02 that knew how to compete without spending.
Kelly always seemed like one of the first guys up from WOO for the pen. He probably still needed some additional time, working back from the lost season last year.
Joely is what he is: a 4.50+ ERA pitcher with a lower FIP. He's probably been a little unlucky this year, but he's not an amazing arm. He only had a preferred status due to his handedness.
