    The Yoshida contract may be the killer since he can't actually field a position and nobody is going to want him in a trade.

    Volpe is 20 months older, but the bigger deal is Mayer missing almost a lot of development last year due to his injury. Volpe played 110 games in AA and 22 in AAA. Mayer would need 80 more MiLB games prior to being called up to meet that. That's a call up in about 14 weeks. So maybe early August if he's on that track?

    Half a pot? I used to drink more coffee, but limit myself to one cup in the morning. My teeth appreciate it. The coffee pot at work is FOLGERS so that's an easy pass for me and there's no quick coffee place nearby since we are on the barrier island rather than near downtown. Not going to change up the house coffee here until the CEO retires. Maybe buy the Keurig K-Rounds for the office when they come out? Someone else already uses a Chemex and leaves it on the counter.

    It's something to talk about. Injuries are a big reason the Sox are sucking. It'd be more frustrating if they were healthy and the Sox were 10-10 with a horrible starting rotation like we envisioned (though we may get to the horrible rotation as Giolito, Pivetta and Whitlock have all been injured).

    Reyes is just horrible defensively. They need to find a better UTIL. Valdez is probably a better DH, but hasn't shown anything this year. He'll be sent to AAA when Grissom is called up. I don't see much out of Hamilton. He shouldn't have been added to the 40 man roster by Bloom. I'd probably DFA after finding a replacement there too.

    SP has been talking about Benitez this offseason. They like his outlook as a RP. Probably does see the show this year, especially since he's a LHP.

    They won't add them all at one. It will be drips and drabs as they put other guys on the 60 man or DFA Reyes/Hamilton/Dalbec/whoever. I honestly have no idea who Kevin Smith is. He grades out as a 40 fielder, which is worse than Westbrook.

    The only top SP prospect that has looked good so far is Fitts. Wikelman, Perales and Sandlin have all started off ROUGH. Early and Penrod have been dominant so far.

    Penrod: 2 G, 0.00 ERA, 10.1 IP, 0.58 WHIP, 14 K, 3 BB Him being able to limit the walks is the biggest development knowing his history.

    I live in FL and all these teams f***ing suck. TBR - joke stadium MIA - joke ownership Heat - never been likeable Panthers - can't root for a team that plays in Sunshine, FL Lightning - the only team that is a maybe Jaguars - c'mon man Dolphins - how can you root for a football team that can never win in weather under 40 degrees? also did their QB dirty with that concussion stuff At least they got actual college sports down here.
