  1. Just put the period after the third word and move on IMO.
  2. Weird that the Giants let him go in the first place.
  3. I was predicting back to back to back to back... 2019 didn't work out. When the Sox point the bow in the right direction, I'll be a little more positive. The pitching has looked better over the short term. It's still built on arms that haven't had INNINGS. My worry is that we continue to see injuries or that the early success trail off significantly.
  4. 5 games, 2 starts at 2B aren't quite enough of a rehab. Vaughn Grissom on his rehab in Worcester: “I want to play as many games as I want, and so I just want to be able to be ready, really ready, when I go out there.” “I feel like [my timing] is right where everyone’s was in the first week of spring training,” Grissom said. “My leg is feeling great, but I’ve just got to get some more at-bats. It’s just one of those sports where repetition is the only way to get the feel of the game, so I’m just playing it day by day.” Grissom’s rehab is expected to take the full 20 days; the Red Sox want him back at 100% for when he takes over as their full-time second baseman.
  5. @ByAndrewParker Red Sox minor league injury update: Spoke with 2023 4th round pick Justin Riemer in regards to when he will be making his Red Sox org debut in 2024. He is aiming to be playing in games in the FCL before the All Star break in early July. Riemer tore his ACL on March 11, 2023.
  6. Breslow, though I did see someone posit that they Sox were talking to Bailey before they were done with Breslow. I think the two were really done in tandem.
  7. I'm just saying how I felt at the time. Others may have felt differently. Again, I was shown to be correct.
  8. The prices at Fenway go up no matter what the payroll is.
  9. Currently doing. Need to see it over the long haul. Houck has never pitched a full season. Crawford will not end the season with a 0.66 ERA. Crawford's xFIP is 3.89.
  10. Bailey was here for the 2012 headphones fiasco. Maybe he'll be suspicious of any gifts coming his way.
  11. Dodgers had to run out Kershaw and Lance Lynn in the divisional series. Hard to win when your rotation puts those two out there in the playoffs.
  12. DBags had a legit ace and another All Star starting pitcher. That helps with the CRAPSHOOT. Sox don't have either.
  13. Is it out of it if they were 2-3 games out? Sometimes! Sox lost 2 of 3 in OAK prior to the deadline and the final 3 games in July. They were going the wrong way. It seemed obvious at the time. Once they hit the September AL East heavy schedule, they were going to struggle and not be able to stay in it.
  14. The players that fell off after the deadline: Masa -0.7 fWAR Refsnyder 46 wRC+, supposed to be a great clubhouse guy Turner 714 OPS was ok, but really just do to him being old and the season being long Dalbec sucks anyway Duran was injured Wong just didn't have a good season anyway The player who complained the most of all at the deadline had the highest fWAR from 8/1 - end of season: Raffy.
  15. I haven't seen any of his starts, but he does have mid 90's velo with a very good changeup. His problem wasn't his "stuff" but his control. So far, he's limited his BB's this year.
  16. He just got injured. No update yet.
  17. A couple? They needed an additional 8 wins or something. That's more than a couple.
  18. If they are really in it (not 5 games out of the WC), then maybe they don't sell. If they are still dealing with a lot of injuries and trending down, they should sell IMO. I'm not stating they definitely will. I have no inside information. I do know that they should have sold in 2022 and 2023 and I advocated for it heavily.
  19. 100% more decisive.
  20. I agree. He's a sniveling little s*** with a lot of money.
  21. Why lose a guy for nothing if you aren't a playoff team?
  22. Martin, Jansen, O'Neilll and McGuire will all be available today. Pivetta should be ready mid-May.
  23. I'm not saying they will or won't, but the recent few seasons aren't indicative of what they'll do this year.
  24. He was the 2nd pick in the Cam Cannon draft. Cannon was picked last year's MiLB portion of the Rule 5 draft.
