  1. I'm hyped that he has thrown 30 starts and pitched more innings in '24 than in the previous two seasons combined. I think an article that homebrews a stat and spits Houck out in the 85th percentile seems fair for where his overall season has turned out. He may not reach these bWAR and fWAR numbers again. This season was a resounding success for a guy many people projected to be in the bullpen this April.
  2. You didn't notice the wording "one of the best teams since 2018" not "the best team since 2018." C'mon man!
  3. For all levels except AAA: The four playoff participants per league will be the winners of each division from both halves based on the best winning percentage of each half. In the event the same Club wins both halves, the Club with the next best winning percentage in the second half will advance. It's having the best winning % in a specific half which gets your team into the playoffs. That's supposed to offset promotions, but makes the overall end of year record vs playoff scenarios look screwy.
  4. This is one of the best teams we've had since 2018! It's not last damn place! It doesn't even have Mookie! I've already picked out my spot for the parade Sunday night.
  5. I'm sure he's the exact same player he was in high school.
  6. Blue Jays are so bad, they are going to try and help the Sox clinch .500.
  7. Bregman is a dead pull hitter whose numbers get inflated with the short porch in HOU. At Fenway, a lot of those HR's turn into doubles and singles. I don't know how well his game will translate to BOS. In theory, he could be a good fit (RHB, decent defender I believe, good contact skills).
  8. I'll undelete said posts. Trade everyone.
  9. Mayer, maybe. I wouldn't send the others. Sox already stated that none of them are going.
  10. I would have appreciated it if he didn't save his worst start of the year for my one trip to Fenway. 😾
  11. JBJ didn’t have a good full season until he was 26. Ceddanne is still 23. I think we can give him a little break. He’s a much better 23 year old than JBJ was.
  12. Get the duck boats ready. They gonna get 79 wins!
  13. WAS the most successful.
  14. We didn't want it enough.
  15. Sounds good to me.
  16. Zeferjahn is streaky and has massive control issues. That 6.2 bb/9 in WOO wasn't pretend. He ended last year with an 8.4 bb/9 in POR.
  17. League Average is 22.6% Sox under 22.6%: Duran 21.7 Masa 12.5 Grissom 21.7 (92 PA) Jansen 21.4 (89 PA) That's it!!! Nobody else!!!
  18. Valdez has a 469 OPS since the Aug callup. Romy has been solid. DHam has been better than expected.
