  1. Bailey screwed him up and the Garcia learned to tune him out!!!
  2. Criswell was good early on, but he has not pitched well lately. It looked like it would be rough early on today.
  3. @alexspeier With Kenley Jansen down today after back-to-back appearances on Monday and Tuesday, Cora said he was hoping for at least 5 innings from Criswell, with Josh Winckowski available for multiple innings behind him. Criswell is at 71 pitches through 4 innings of one-run ball. Somehow, we might get there.
  4. After getting his first k of the game, Criswell falls apart.
  5. @itsbrianbarrett Raffy Career v. Astros Prior to today 32-146 (.219) - 2nd worst against AL teams .260 OBP - worst against AL teams .377 SLG - worst against AL teams .636 OPS - worst against AL teams
  6. 854 OPS in Late&Close OPS is 70+ higher with runners on/RISP than bases empty
  7. Wong: 557 OPS since Aug 3rd The dog days are getting to him.
  8. Nice to see Wong throw a runner out BTW. He had a great arm last year, but it's fallen back this year due to an offseason injury.
  9. He shouldn't have swung at the last pitch. If he hits it, it goes nowhere. Better chance it's called a ball. Really awful looking swing.
  10. Well, we're definitely through the looking glass with Criswell.
  11. I think his shoulder may be bothering him though.
  12. For sure. I just think the player comparisons can be silly sometimes because of the quirkiness of the stats.
  13. Refsnyder has been very good this year, but his power isn't to RF. He's pull heavy.
  14. Casas now hitting 380 since coming back. Don't feel like calculating midgame OPS.
  15. I'm not sure Soriano should be in the HOF.
  16. There's only been 3 consistent female posters in my time on here. We'd have to pay them to come back.
  17. Duran CF Abreu RF Casas 1B Devers 3B Refsnyder LF Yoshida - DH Wong C Hamilton 2b Rafaela SS
  18. @SoxNotes Through 125 team games, Jarren Duran has 153 hits, 68 XBH, and 31 stolen bases. He is the only Red Sox player ever with 30+ steals, 65+ XBH, and 150+ hits through 125 games. The last players to do that were Alfonso Soriano (2002), Alex Rodriguez (1998), and Willie Mays (1957). These kinds of stats can be meaningless sometimes, but this is a little interesting.
  19. An All Star, Gold Glove 1B who had 213 hits in his first year here. 2011 - 2016: AGon bWAR > Rizzo bWAR
