  1. Conrad Cason had TJS Current prospects out due to TJS: Luis Perales Alvaro Mejias Matt Donlan Cade Feeney Matt Duffy Cole Tolbert Yordanny Monegro Nicholas Judice Trennor O'Donnell Zach Fogell Conrad Cason 🦾
  2. Some evaluators really, really like him. Some are unimpressed. He's had an up and down year so far. He's young and holding his own in High A. He has a clear path to be some sort of MLBer.
  3. Yeah, there's a reason he's being DFA'd. He's been one of the worst players in the league since June 1.
  4. Game 1: 3.2 IP, 4 K, 1 BB, 3 ER Game 2: 6 IP, 8 K, 1 BB, 0 ER Projected Game 3: 8.1 IP, 12 K, 1 BB, -3 ER
  5. I think Sanchez was injury insurance due to Narvaez's knee situation. Once they are comfortable with that, Sanchez is gone.
  6. Sox will typically be 6th - 12th place just because of the size of Fenway. If they are 6 or 7, it's because attendance at larger ballparks is down. Even when they were really packing it in, they were still 8th or 9th almost every season. Attendance has been a little slow to rebound since COVID and that's due to high prices combined with mediocre baseball and lack of recognizable players to the general public. Maybe it also just won't get back to the highs of 04-19 again?
  7. That's not a thing anymore ever since we took Mojo about back and gave it the Old Yeller treatment.
  8. Gio then Bello then Crochet. Sox have a big rotation advantage this series.
  9. If they can acquire him for minimum $, it's just to provide a higher ceiling than Toro. Hope for a rebound knowing there is less likely one from Toro.
  10. I think it's just a very temporary solution not for the remainder of the season.
  11. Red Sox lucked out by missing Perez and Cabrera. Junk is ok, but going against Crochet who should be a lock after his previous start.
  12. That's what I was getting at with the last few lines and comparing him to Buehler. Sox should hit him around tonight. I think people see his name and remember the pitcher than he used to be, not what he is.
  13. Now that there are 3 WC teams, it's easier for some mediocre teams to sneak in with a few hot stretches even though the overall profile looks weird.
  14. Why compare it to 2018? Attendance is up from last season's 32,839. The is on track to be the highest attended season since 2019 when they averaged 35,994. This year's attendance is close to 2003's, but is dwarfed by every year from 04-19. Can't really put much stock into road attendance numbers as other teams fluctuate significantly year to year and the Sox visit different NL parks each season.
  15. Yes, they should trade Tolle for him. - Jim Bowden 🤪
  16. Bernardino has only pitched 3 innings since being added to the WOO roster 2 weeks ago.
  17. Well, you shouldn't have quoted Ted Kaczynski in it for starters.
  18. Sandy Alcantara isn't very good anymore. He walks too many guys and can't strike anybody out anymore. He gives up a lot of loud contact and doesn't miss bats. With how well the Sox play at home, they should beat the Marlins up pretty good today. He's basically the Marlins' version of Buehler at this point. He could throw a gem, but most likely it's a little ugly.
  19. Young and inexperienced Duran entering FA after his 4th ARB year.
  20. When the Sox have an "inexperienced" starting OFer who will be 29 next month, but can't track flyballs.
  21. This is not true. I didn't think they could/should acquire Ryan at the deadline. You're confusing me with someone else. I believe they should build the team in the offseason. The deadline is always prohibitively expensive. If the Twins were really doing a fire sale and Breslow could have traded for him without giving up Tolle, then fine. Twins weren't going to do that though. They also never provided the Sox with a serious offer per reports.
  22. Jim Bowden said at the deadline that the Sox should consider trading Tolle for Lowe. “Last year [Nathaniel Lowe] slashed .265/.361/.401 with 16 homers and 69 RBIs while playing plus defense at first base. This year with the Nationals, he’s hitting just .227 but has 12 doubles, 10 home runs and 45 RBIs in 75 games. He’d be an upgrade for the Sox, who would control him through 2026. Lowe would be a solid place holder until prospect James Tibbs III, acquired in the Devers trade, is ready for the majors. “A second-round pick in 2024, Tolle has an eye-popping 70 strikeouts in 43 2/3 innings this season in High A. This is the type of deal the Nationals need to make at the trade deadline: adding more power arms to their stable.” Don't ever listen to that idiot please. Yes, we are all smarter than a former GM.
