    Webster should never pitch out of the bullpen. If he's not in the rotation, he should stay in Pawtucket. They needed a few innings from Wright in the bullpen, having Webster pitch in the Aceves game would have been horrible as he just started a game and didn't have enough rest.

    According to the collective bargaining agreement, 1st round picks are cost controlled for 5 years, 2nd rounders for 4. Better chance Pats keeping the pick? No way do they get a 2nd rounder for Mallett, right?

    Yeah, BB has a knack for finding good TE's. If there's one in the 3rd he covets, they may as well grab him.

    And in getting back to actual baseball talk... If Lackey gets injured again, look for Webster to stick up here. None of the retreads in Pawtucket are worth bringing up. Has anyone heard a prognosis for Morales? He'd be our best non-Webster option to fill in once in a while.

    Pats need a WR, DE, S and CB before they need a backup TE. They probably are not picking anyone tonight anyway. As for my USC projections: Barkley is ok, but will end up being a backup at best. Not worth a 2nd rounder. Robert Woods has great hands, is tough as nails, but seems to have a crappy attitude when playing from behind. If the Pats got Woods, he'd be productive, but he's not an outside the numbers guy. Pats really need to think about drafting Brady's replacement and have him sit like Rogers did for a few years.

    Yeah, Sox have a history of playing down to certain opponents. They should win games 1 and 2, but Doub's needs a solid outing on Saturday. He just seems to be too inconsistent.

    No. You are wrong. I said "Napoli was a good signing." (This was in reference to a conversation about Victorino being the best offseason signing and me saying "what about Uehara or Napoli.") You said "Oh really, how was he a good signing, he's only hitting .220, RBI's are a meaningless stat blah blah blah." And "keep bringing it up?" What is this the 2nd time it has been mentioned?
