  1. I'm not complaining! I'm just not expecting this to continue. These two teams are pretty freakin' awful.
  2. I guess Will Clark has just taken IF with the team for years and years and it's very common for him to do so. It was nothing special planned or anything. Will was already going to be there and just thought Devers was going to take 1b with him. If I was PR for the Giants, I'd be nervous as Hell having that guy around for sure. Great story teller though.
  3. What playing the Nats and the Rocks can do to a team.
  4. What near ready prospects? I guess pitchers? Are the Sox WS contenders in '26 or '27? Is that what the trade is being made for?
  5. People need to move on, especially Will Flemming.
  6. I'm hopeful that Campbell can be a fairly productive pitcher. He was good in '23. Kelly has been dogdoo for a while.
  7. His knock tonight wasn't middle/middle like last night. It was a strike for sure, but not in a location that he's been crushing all year like the others. The pitcher wasn't a AAAA slouch either.
  8. My comment was to both of you as you continue to egg each other on for no reason. Please stop and feel free to ignore each other rather than having ongoing tit for tats like the above. Thanks.
  9. If you run the sample without last night, which is what I ran earlier, it comes to 602.
  10. Now that they've added last night's game, it's up to 611:
  11. They didn't want to pay Devers 300M to just play DH. They wouldn't pay 700M for Soto to just play DH. Raffy stays at 3b. They don't sign Breggie. Soto moves to LF. Sox decide on trading either Abreu or Duran and consider trading both (Anthony could start season in RF).
  12. Kelly is on the IL, he's not being called up. At least I don't believe he's eligible to be called up on the 11th. I think Campbell may be up for a little while. Sox may go with a bullpen game on Saturday for Fitts's rotation spot. Kelly has been trash for most of the season and has only been getting the taxi squad treatment because he was already on the 40 man roster, not because he deserved the innings. More likely is that they DFA Sogard for Masa and option Eaton back to AAA IMO. Once Breggie is ready, Hamilton can be optioned to AAA as well. We are also getting to that point in the year where some players may just be dealt instead. A guy like Hamilton could have value on a bench of a true contender rather than sitting in AAA here. It would also clear a 40 man spot. There has also been talk of a Jarren Duran trade which could happen at some point. They could even potentially clear a roster spot by trading Grissom for a prospect that isn't on a team's 40 man roster.
  13. Other teams have done it. I think Giolito really sees himself as wanting to stay and may actually take the 19M mutual if offered. I believe he feels like he owes it to BOS for missing last season. I don't know what Cora would do down the stretch if it gets close. He either messes it up with a few early blowouts or cruises past the 140 numbers. If he's coming down to the final start with 132 IP, I'd be rooting for him to blow the doors off the other team and pitch a CG.
  14. Devers still had a groin issue and was excused from that practice. Will Flemming is making a big deal out of nothing. What did Will Clark say about it? “I know what the (expletive) happened,” Clark said. “I said, he didn’t want to go out and be at first base and be 20 feet in front of their freaking dugout with what went on in Boston, and now he’s working with me at first base. He didn’t want to have to go through all that (expletive) through the press in the media. So, I completely understand.” If Will Clark doesn't care about Raffy not working out with him, why do Red Sox fans???
  15. It wouldn't have been to make the money work... Though they may have tried to trade Devers at some point too? IDK.
  16. I did NOT say that. I said that yesterday though. Away from Coors, he's serviceable and it could be a sneaky game that gets away from the Sox. I think the Sox go hog wild on Senzatela tomorrow though. That one gets Mayer back on track. Freeland AWAY 2025: 4.50 ERA, 726 OPS, 1.28 WHIP, 3.69 FIP, 31.8 Hard% Freeland HOME 2025: 6.69 ERA, 946 OPS, 1.94 WHIP, 3.96 FIP, 42.6 Hard%
  17. If they signed Soto, they would have dealt multiple everyday players to make the lineup work.
  18. With Devers: 37-36 (50.7%, 82 win pace) W/O Devers: 10-9 (52.6%, 85 win pace)
  19. Since 2022, Freeland is 127th out of 134 in ERA for qualified starters. He's also 130th in BABIP, 129th in LOB%, 131st in WHIP, 132nd in Hard% and 125th in Run Support/9. 😎🍺
  20. Rockies extended Freeland for 5/64.5 in '22 and has another year to go. They're going to get their moneys worth.
  21. Gio is going to be really close to the 140 IP.
  22. It was 3-11 in the 3 starts. No need to try to correct me just to get it wrong. 😑
