The MiLB PotY is a very bad MIF. They are working on a new defensive home for him. Marcelo has had an injury in every season he's been in the org. Romero has had an injury in every season he's been in the org. Yorke was traded for Priester who was also traded. The aristocrats!

After being out for MONTHS, he only got 14 PA's in AAA. Very weird. I honestly don't understand how they handle him. He was hitting really well at points last year and they'd just ignore him.

Albatross? The contract isn't that big. Henry could eat it in a deal if he wanted to. Just trade him and eat 80% of it.

I wonder if they are just playing Masa as much as possible prior to the deadline to see if they'll get any takers? Unfortunately, the results haven't been there. My guess is he'll be back to the bench on Aug 1.

I read that he had nausea due to the extremely rough flight. If his brain is spinning, not sure I want him pitching.

It's Tuesday AM. Deadline is another 60 hours away or so. Nothing is happening fast and furious anywhere.

The theory on Duran is that he's going to provide less and less value as he gets closer to 30+ due to his main weapon being his speed. People believe he's going to slow down and provide little of value once that happens. Maybe his game will adjust? Maybe he'll be able to maintain his speed as some other players have.

Even if he's an average 2b, he's an ELITE CF. He should never play any other position. The value he provides there is immense.

There were discussions about moving Casas, which would have pushed Devers straight to 1b rather than DH. 🫠 Duran or Abreu are good players, but not irreplaceable by any means. If you can package them for a rotational starter, it's worth it IMO.

Rays play a lot more games on the road in the 2nd half as they front loaded the 1st half with home games due to having an outdoors ballpark in FL. Seattle doesn't have big run differential. I know they got Josh Naylor. Depending on the other additions at the deadline, they could make a run. Or not. Sox still have a good shot of getting in, but need to have better health luck down the stretch than they've had so far. Chapman being out is a big problem. Having to trade for a big time reliever is not ideal.

They needed to trade someone in the offseason and failed to do so.

Different pitch mix and lower velocities. If guys went back to that, they'd last longer.

I think to just get an average 2b in there and move Rafaela back to CF would be HUGE. We don't know the extent of the injury, but it cost him about a month last time he had the same injury. He also wasn't really lighting it up out there prior to the injury. If they are serious about competing, he may just need to be optioned strictly for health.

Because I said "if the offense gets hot" and believe they will be better going forward. Did something happen to deGrom that I don't know about? He's still listed as starting tonight. Maybe you should let the Rangers know.
