    Rafaela is going into his age 25 season this year. Duran's age 25 season was '22 where he had a 77 wRC+ and was pretty bad. Rafaela has steadily improved each year since being called up. There's a nonzero chance Rafaela hits as well as Duran does this season.

    Nope. Duran, the worst of the 4 OFers, will either be DH'ing or on the bench. You don't throw Contreras to C if he hasn't worked with the pitchers all year. Would be crazy to do in the ALCS.

    I think he'll be a 3 WAR player with 20+ HR this season. His OPS will go back to around 825ish.

    If Duran had so much trade value, why haven't the Sox been able to unload him. Per reports, they are fielding calls all day about Abreu and Rafaela, not about Duran.

    Abreu and Anthony both had higher OPS than Duran last season. Both are younger with more control.

    It's not disrespectful to state that Duran should be traded since he's the 4th best OFer on the team and the Sox need the roster space. It's not like I'm saying they should option him to AAA. Restock the farm by trading Duran. He has a ton of trade value. Go get some great prospects.🫠

    If so, they should trade Duran since he has so much trade value!!! Stock up on those prospects!!! Rafaela is a better fit for this team than Duran who can only play LF and isn't as good as Abreu or Roman.

    It's worse on a 26 year old (Gen Z). If he was a Millenial, he'd already be downtrodden enough to suck it up and push through. Now, if he was 46, he would have still been old enough to drink water from the garden hose, have his parents pump leaded gas and get his brain scrambled by a metal merry-go-round. At that point, you should just treat him the way Papi treats a dugout phone.

    With Marte, he plays 2b for 2-3 years and then transitions to 1b for the end of the contract. Not the end of the world IMO.

    He should have been a DH in '25. After his injury, he's definitely a DH going forward. Probably worse than Alonso over there now.

    Rice started 26 G at C as a 26 year old. I doubt he'll be doing that in his 30's. He is also terrible at catching (2.07 poptime is 2nd worst in MLB).

    #2 applies to the Sox. They don't have a 1B aside from Contreras.

    As CBO, I'm Alex's boss and can tell him what he needs to believe. I'm selling in '22 so that the Sox can build the next great Red Sox team instead of halfassing it the way Bloom/Breslow did on Earth 1.
