  1. JBJ was so feeble lately, that Farrell had to do ANYTHING to jump start him. Maybe JBJ can provide a mythical 2nd hot month this year!
  2. No f'n way. Sorry, Spud.
  3. Rafael Devers - O
  4. That play was great. Him yelling in the dugout that "this is war" was really great too. thunder, do you still think he's a clubhouse cancer?!?!?!?!?
  5. Odorizzi is also having his first start back after going on the DL. He lost to Dunedin last time out. http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?gid=2017_08_04_chaafa_dunafa_1&t=g_box The top of that order is fantastic: Bo Bichette, Cavan Biggio and Vlad Jr! I guess the Jays are hoarding former MLB players' kids?
  6. Núñez 3B, Benintendi LF, Betts RF, Ramirez DH, Moreland 1B, Bogaerts SS, Holt 2B, Leon C, Bradley Jr. CF, Porcello RHP
  7. Sometimes, outside forces can dramatically impact a tiger's stripes. @PeteAbe With what amounts to an extra starter in Nunez and wanting to keep Holt and Young involved, be prepared for daily lineup changes.
  8. Right, that's why I mentioned the "looks better in a uniform" archetype. Ugly and small players are the new market inefficiency.
  9. Because if he can't help this team, managers are useless and A700 is right about just letting fan vote determine all moves.
  10. Smith pitched well last night. Fingers crossed!
  11. @michaelFhurley Having Chris Sale pitch at the Trop is like forcing Mozart to perform at the Meadow Glen Mall food court. Or something close to it maybe.
  12. It looks like it was resurrected a few days ago. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I have nothing else to say on the matter though. I'm done. It's not like moon reads my posts anyway.
  13. It's a sneaky good nickname.
  14. CV = Colo (Guerrilla), I like that one. Mucho.
  15. Not pictured is Farrell's "He Hate Me" jersey.
  16. https://twitter.com/PeteAbe/status/895326862099873792 Sox jersey nicknames have been released. Notable: Sale - Stickman Xander - X Sandy - Noah Kimbrel - Dirty Craig Hembree - Heater
  17. I never conjecture. Henry does sleep in coffins!
  18. Last game against the Sox, Odorizzi gave up 7 runs in 4 1/3. That was in Tampa too. http://www.fangraphs.com/wins.aspx?date=2017-07-07&team=Rays&dh=0
  19. He better help. He calls substitutions, sets the lineup and is in charge of the coaching.
  20. It's not that "clutch players try harder," it's that some players shrink under the pressure and let their nerves get to them. If you can hit or pitch the same with a bases loaded jam in the bottom of the 9th as you do in the 1st inning, you're clutch. It has NOTHING to do with elevating your game in crucial moments. It's about being consistent and not letting stressful situations get the better of you.
  21. Until we can confirm this directly, it's all conjecture on our parts and prone to bias. Is the FO shifting gears? Maybe? Is it coming from Henry, or someone else? Who knows? I just can't stand the "this one guy in the organization is ruining everything, but this other guy is cool" narrative. We're not on the inside, so we don't really know what is actually going on behind the scenes. I'm not sure it matters either.
  22. Ben, buried 6 ft under ground. Just where A700 wants him!
  23. I don't believe in grumkins, snarks or an impending cliff.
