  1. I’m down for anything new. It may not work, but is another thing to discuss and ponder.
  2. I'm not, but this Red Sox team sure is. It's not every season that you can go BACK TO BACK TO BACK.
  3. I know that you relied on me as a Dr to tell you if the surgery was necessary. It was at the time. Now, we realize that you shouldn't have had the surgery and it's your fault for listening to me.
  4. It was a smart deal when it was signed! It is a bad deal now and they shouldn't have done it! Mental. Gymnastics.
  5. I'm excited to see how the Rays starting rotation shenanigans works out.
  6. Lots of mental gymnastics going on around here.
  7. Yanks won't win 90 games this year. Book it.
  8. Oh s***, watch out for Sonny Gray!!! The most intriguing 4th starter in the league! Just as a reminder, his numbers got significantly worse after transitioning to the AL East where real teams like the Boston Red Sox play. I'd expect that to continue going forward. Back to back to back.
  9. Speaking of the real rivalry: @TBTimes_Rays #Rays will open vs #RedSox with Archer, Snell, bullpen day, and Eovaldi http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/22677327/tampa-bay-rays-plan-using-four-man-rotation-bullpen-day-2018-season While other teams are pondering using six-man pitching rotations this season, Tampa Bay Rays manager Kevin Cash is going with the opposite mindset and is planning to use a four-man rotation throughout the 2018 season. Under Cash's plan, four pitchers will still work on regular rest, but instead of going with a regular starter on every fifth day, Cash said it will be a bullpen day and he'll have three or four relief pitchers go through the batting order once. "Our plan, we're not going to five," Cash said. "We're going to try to stay at four. We're going to have some bullpen days in there. We're going to try and do that for a long period of time. We're going to learn a lot in the first six weeks."
  10. Honestly, the Rays and O's are bigger rivalries atm.
  11. The nail that sticks up gets hammered down. BACK TO BACK TO BACK
  12. I'll take any bet that Mitch has a higher fWAR this season than Hanley.
  13. I'm fine with them trading Swihart if they can get an ML ready arm. I'm just not sure what his market is. The reality is that Swihart's ceiling is basically Jason Kendall. If they have to move him, it's not a franchise killer.
  14. Spring Training stats don't count.
  15. @alexspeier Christian Vazquez just hit a two-out, two-run homer on a changeup from a lefty. Spring training stats are pretty useless, but he's 7-for-19 this spring with 1 K (and no walks) in 20 PAs. CV needs to start 120 games this year. DFA Sandy.
  16. IDK. Maybe Hanley is really really great and his option should vest!
  17. Added Marrero for you.
  18. Would save $16M this year alone.
  19. If I was GM, there'd be no chill. There just isn't enough room for everyone to be on the roster. Sandy is a backup and Hanley is too overpriced. I don't want the option to vest.
  20. I'm not a huge fan of Marrero, but he's better than Holt for sure. I like having a good glove on the bench for late innings too.
  21. Because he's a #3 hitter who is going to "have a decent season".
  22. I'd DFA Hanley and just go with Mitch/JD.
  23. If the Sox lose because of $6.5M, it's extremely poor roster construction.
