  1. Joakim Noah - NBA Yannick Noah - Tennis Mike Conley Jr - NBA Mike Conley Sr - Olympic gold medal in track Ken Norton Jr - NFL Ken Norton Sr - Boxing Shane Larkin - NBA Barry Larkin - MLB
  2. Even though he expressed interest playing here. Got it!
  3. I'm not sure it's an unfair labor practice. The employer is basically MLB, not the individual teams. The only unfair thing about it is the limitation on how much you can spend.
  4. Get rid of the luxury tax.
  5. Ilitch definitely calls more FA shots in DET than the BOS owners do.
  6. Kelly certainly isn't reliable enough. Maybe DD also doesn't like Domestic Violence accusations (Familia)?
  7. Why would they take Moreland and Nunez for Santana? Doesn't seem like a trade Philly would take.
  8. I think DD prefers hard throwers in the pen. Robertson really isn't that guy.
  9. Some people are trying to turn it into the Suitcase Hall of Very Good and I don't like it already!
  10. EXTRA EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT! Desperate Dave (he of 3 straight division titles) can't build a team anymore and doesn't know how to sign free agents!
  11. In the new millenium: Sox 4WS, Yanks 1 WS. It must be hard being the little brother.
  12. As in they are becoming less frequent you dumbass. If you don't know what I meant, go back to whatever s***** defunct messageboard you came from.
  13. And still 30% of his games were with the Sox. Unfortunately, he wasn't here for the Sox breakout 99 season.
  14. This is what 2019 has turned into: me stanning for Eric Gagne. Should be a fun year.
  15. His FIP with the Sox was lower than his career average. His k/9 with the Sox was higher than his career average. His BABIP was 120+ points higher than any other time in his career. SSS
  16. Flags fly forever. In NY, there are just starting to be fewer of them.
  17. He quit the game too early to deserve recognition. He needed to drag it out a few more years going back and forth from MiLB roster to Korean roster to MiLB roster to earn a spot in the HOF. Voters don't like that he didn't show enough commitment to the game.
  18. If anyone else is bored during a slow work week, you can read more here: https://www.baseball-reference.com/leaders/leaders_most_franchises.shtml
  19. Pfffft... Gaudin couldn't even get double digits. That's Rudy Seanez territory.
  20. I agree with you on that point and wasn't trying to argue that you should have known where he was now. Dude is a baseball vagabond and someday may join in the ranks of the Edwin Jackson, Octavio Dotel, Matt Stairs, Mike Morgan, Ron Villone cabal.
  21. This guy has the craziest transaction history: February 23, 2010: Signed by the Cincinnati Reds as an amateur free agent. December 23, 2011: Traded by the Cincinnati Reds with Dave Sappelt and Travis Wood to the Chicago Cubs for Sean Marshall. July 2, 2013: Purchased by the Houston Astros from the Chicago Cubs. May 15, 2015: Purchased by the Toronto Blue Jays from the Houston Astros. June 12, 2015: Purchased by the Los Angeles Dodgers from the Toronto Blue Jays. January 12, 2016: Traded by the Los Angeles Dodgers with Tyler Olson to the New York Yankees for Rob Segedin and player to be named or cash. January 25, 2016: Selected off waivers by the Los Angeles Angels from the New York Yankees. February 1, 2016: Selected off waivers by the New York Yankees from the Los Angeles Angels. November 28, 2018: Traded by the New York Yankees to the Chicago Cubs for player to be named or cash. November 30, 2018: Granted Free Agency. December 6, 2018: Signed as a Free Agent with the Minnesota Twins.
  22. Hasn't been a positive oWAR since 2014 when he left COL. He used to rake against FB's, he can't catch up to them anymore.
  23. Hard to "crash" when you are a perennial also ran in the division. The Sox have won 2 WS since the last time the NYY even won the division.
  24. Pedey will be an All Star this year. I think our set up men are fine as is though it never hurts to get more arms. I'm not at all excited about Barnes being the closer, but I'd rather that than dumping MiLB arms for some retread.
  25. To me, no one is untouchable, so it just depends on what the core piece is that they are trading for.
