Including his Double-A stats, Hart now has a 2.51 ERA and 68 strikeouts over 64 2/3 innings. Signed for $5,000 as a 19th-round pick in 2016, Kyle Hart impressed in smaller sample sizes over his first two years in the system. 2018 was his first full season, and he logged 138 2/3 innings with Portland after not topping 100 innings in any previous season even going back to college. He predictably hit a wall in the middle of last season, but he was able to bounce back and pitch to a 2.06 ERA over his last 48 innings. He carried that success forward to this season, where he has been arguably the top performing starter in the system, with Thaddeus Ward as his main competition. Hart has increased the usage of his slider and cutter this season, and that has allowed his strikeouts per nine innings to jump from 6.49 in 2018 to 9.46 in 2019.

Adam Conley is a step up from who on this staff exactly? He's worse than Hembree or Workman. He's basically a AAAA guy. Those guys are irrelevant. Their "control" doesn't matter. Who cares if you have an additional 2 years on a AAAA guy? You can get randos like Walden to come up and give you the same production.

Yes, realism is only found in people that agree with yourself. Dalbec's value as a masher in AA is higher than what Adam Conley (29 year old mop up reliever on a s***** Marlins team) is. Steamer and depth charts have him as a 0 fWAR guy. Dalbec is worth more than that and it's not even up for discussion. Conley is no better than a AAAA reliever. Sox got Addison Reed for spare parts that were far less than a straight up trade for Dalbec. You're vastly overstating what it would take to land some mediocre bullpen arms. But I'm not being realistic though because my opinion conflicts with yours.

Chatham needs to get seasoning at 2B in AA before they call him up. He's on a bit of a hot streak, but has really been swinging well. Duran hasn't even had 200 AB's in high A ball. Need to pump the brakes a little on him. There's no way he's coming up anytime soon. To get anyone off the 40 man, you have to put them through waivers. If the Sox really need someone, there are a few guys that you could either get through waivers or at least wouldn't come back to bite you if they went elsewhere.

Lots of rainouts last night. DHern is continuing to struggle. Casas hit his ninth tater. Per SoxProspects: Casas has been on an absolute tear in May, hitting .326/.398/.651 with seven home runs. You can make a strong case that he is the system's top prospect currently in the minors.
