    Won the ALCS MVP with a .200 batting average vs won the WS MVP with a .333 batting average. Pearce's OPS was 600 points higher than JBJ's too. JBJ had as many k's as hits in that series. In the WS, Pearce didn't k once. That's just a bad faith argument from you.

    He probably isn't THE BEST CF in MLB right now. He's most likely top 5 though. He's the best Sox CF in my lifetime though. Hard to compare him to Dom Dimaggio since I wasn't born then.

    The Sox have faced stiff punishment before (draft picks, IFA restrictions) and I'm not sure they want to go down that road again. However, if they do this and get reamed for it, you'll no longer be able to complain about the cliff since they would have gotten the idea from your post.

    Exactly. There's just no reasonable explanation to bench JBJ or even platoon Chavis right now.

    I'm not sure Chavis needs a LH platoon as he doesn't have a history of a huge split. Until he struggles against RHP, there's no reason to platoon him.

    The best lineup right now includes JDM, Chavis, Devers, Moreland and JBJ. Until there is a reasonable change at 2b to be made, I just don't see what messing with the lineup can bring them.
