    At the very least, Cora was getting a year long suspension (most likely 2+) just for the Astros stuff. Even if nothing comes from the Sox allegations, the Red Sox would still be without a manager. It makes a ton of sense that needed to part ways. I wonder if they had conversations about this with Cora all offseason.

    For future reference, you should be your reply to all my posts. Also, they hit rather well in 2018 in these circumstances. Maybe it was a sign of things to come for the Twinkies rather than a sign of them cheating?

    You mean in 2019? In 2018, the one category where they were worse than the Sox in the above discussion was HR's (12th best).

    Now, if you look at all the teams and how they fared at home with runners in scoring postion: For BOS: AVG 2nd best HR% 8th best K% 4th worst B% 12th best RBI's/PA 5th best A team that was better than the Sox in almost every category: the Minnesota Twins. What were they hiding in 2018??????

    With no runners on: H: 318/357 HR: 52/53 RBI: 52/53 K: 230/342 (worse k% away) BB: 91/122 PA: 1177/1532 (many more PA's is why there are equal HR's, more BB's, etc.) BA: 294/256 (higher avg at home)

    Home vs Away with runners in scoring position 2018 H: 197/145 HR: 28/23 RBI: 281/237 K: 135/101 BB: 97/94 PA: 732/637 So they did perform better at home with runners in scoring position, but that also lines up with them hitting better at home with bases empty (lower batting average, less hr's per PA, etc.).
