  1. JH coming out and saying that they are cutting payroll last fall was pretty dumb.
  2. 1. MLB is just dragging its feet (unlikely) 2. MLB is gathering all the info it can find prior to meeting with Cora (most likely especially now that Cora is out of work) 3. MLB is struggling to find any truth to the cheating rumors (somewhat likely)
  3. At the very least, Cora was getting a year long suspension (most likely 2+) just for the Astros stuff. Even if nothing comes from the Sox allegations, the Red Sox would still be without a manager. It makes a ton of sense that needed to part ways. I wonder if they had conversations about this with Cora all offseason.
  4. Everyone seems to wanek as manager, but he was pushed around by fellow Sox players (chicken and beer, love interest nonsense, CC calling him out, etc). Pass.
  5. Everyone bought that finger waggle hook line and sinker. I thought it was suspicious.
  6. Go outside and get someone who has no part of the investigation. Safest bet IMO.
  7. Nah. They’ll just find something else to whine about.
  8. Tom Werner: “We’re looking forward to the media giving us low expectations and then we’ll be there in October.” Um ok...
  9. He means the YANKEES.
  10. It wasn't a trap, it was stockholm syndrome.
  11. Steroids. Greenies. Andro. HGH. Milkshakes. Vitamins (Flintstone or otherwise). Back acne. Betting. Spitballs. Pine tar. Corked bats. Sandpaper. Cameras. Buzzers. Trash cans. And I'm sure I've forgotten some. Is there anyone in baseball who DIDN'T cheat?
  12. It's too late in the day on Friday for me to export anything else into Excel. Sorry.
  13. @SmittyOnMLB Boston Red Sox roster moves: Marco Hernandez clears waivers, outrighted to Triple-A Pawtucket
  14. @SmittyOnMLB Xander Bogaerts: Boston Red Sox’s 2018 World Series title ‘absolutely not’ tainted by MLB investigation; ‘To me, 2018 was a special year’
  15. Winter Weekend is in Springfield this year, not in Fenway? Yuck.
  16. Well, it shows there isn't necessarily a pattern that the Sox were better in 2018 when a runner was on 2b.
  17. Hey everybody, I'm Jack Nicholson. You may remember me from such films as Wolf, Mars Attacks and Witches of Eastwick!
  18. See? I did a thing!
  19. No, I didn't see a way to only select runners on 2b. It was either no runners, any runners or runners in scoring position.
  20. Ah, but were you ripshit when Ortiz and Manny blah blah blah blah blah blah? There, I did a Yankees fan post so nobody else has to. You're welcome.
  21. For future reference, you should be your reply to all my posts. Also, they hit rather well in 2018 in these circumstances. Maybe it was a sign of things to come for the Twinkies rather than a sign of them cheating?
  22. You mean in 2019? In 2018, the one category where they were worse than the Sox in the above discussion was HR's (12th best).
  23. Now, if you look at all the teams and how they fared at home with runners in scoring postion: For BOS: AVG 2nd best HR% 8th best K% 4th worst B% 12th best RBI's/PA 5th best A team that was better than the Sox in almost every category: the Minnesota Twins. What were they hiding in 2018??????
