    Mayer is an unknown, but that's ok. The Sox need to see what's he's got and give him the season with all the ups and downs he'll go through. His defense should keep providing him value and his bat should eventually come around. Not every young player breaks out their first year in the bigs. It's fine. Let him do his thing.

    Luckily for them, the rest of the AL has been playing poorly as well. There are only 5 AL teams above .500.

    The bullpen is a little light, but the starters aren't doing them any favors in the early part of the season.

    Bello has been absolute trash. If they got 5 IP/3 ER every start from Bennett, they'd be better off. Not sure they should go with a starting rotation of 5 LHP's though!

    I would assume the 900 OPS would have included lots of LHP action. I think he's going to learn to hit LHP while in MLB. He won't be the first.

    If you want to talk about prospect fatigue, Allan Castro is in his 6th year in the system and is just now at AAA. He's still interesting to many national guys, not just SoxProspects.
