    His shoulder was injured enough that he was unable to play the field for some reason. I don't understand how they've handled him in any season except for '23. They tried him for a year and then gave up.

    Nick, typically it's a weird mix of pitchers in the AFL and a very juiced offensive environment. Do you know if there are a lot of upper level MiLB guys that Anderson is facing, or is he just doing damage against A ball pitchers in friendly AFL? He's always been a guy that took a looooong time to adjust to a level and doesn't really seem to have a great defensive home at the moment. When is it the end of the line for Zanetello? He carries such a horrible k rate for his profile.

    Red Sox Assistant GM Taylor Smith hired by A's to be President of Baseball Ops. Wasn't Breslow going to hire a GM or promote someone to be one? Other orgs don't have people leaving all the time like here.

    They are the best bet the Sox have at hitting 1 - 4. Nobody else on the roster feels like a 1 -4 guy to me. If Roman isn't that guy, they need 3 hitters.

    Whether it's one or two, they just need a complete top of the order. Roman and Contreras aren't enough for 1 - 4. They need two more guys in there.

    Actually, they were 6th in CBT payroll in 2026! He couldn't possibly afford any other players! He paid nearly 2M more per win than the Rays!!! He's a very benevolent owner who treats us piggies very well...

    If Houck is the 6th or 7th starter, it seems like a good idea to not non-tender him for budget reasons. They need to pretend to be a serious franchise. If they let him go, he'd be on the next flight to Tampa and would have a monster season.
