  1. Devers to STL for Edman/Mikolas/Zack Thompson
  2. He’d blow through the lux tax. It’s more important to reset!
  3. There’s nobody that shouldn’t be traded for the right package.
  4. @spchrishatfield Stock should not, of course, be confused with Robert Stack, although the pitching churn we're going to see this year may make us all think we picked the wrong time to stop sniffing glue.
  5. I’m with Farmer Brown here. The sky isn’t falling. This is better than NO baseball.
  6. You could pass all the others through waivers.
  7. The only tradeable pitchers in the player pool: Active: EO Barnes Workman Injured: Erod DHern
  8. He doesn’t have the range. It’s a 2b/COF profile.
  9. Punch and judy hitter. 48 OPS+ in 2020! DFA!
  10. Red Sox claim Robert Stock off waivers from the Phillies, the team just announced. Stock had a 10.13 ERA in just 10 innings last year, but was more effective the year before: 2.50 ERA in 39 2/3 innings, totaling 38 strikeouts. Big arm.
  11. Chavis is faster than JBJ according to statcast.
  12. Not fast. 55 career SB’s.
  13. See ya... Sorry a Black Lives Matter sign made you cry. Bye bitch.
  14. Weren’t you quitting this board and baseball? That didn’t last long. 2 days.
  15. No, we knew it was the weakest part of the team going into the year. With the luxury tax mandate, Bloom didn’t have many options.
  16. For the 2020 campaign to count for logging luxury-tax years, it must continue beyond the August 31 trade deadline. In the event of a midseason cancellation prior to that time, the Sox will remain in the penalty box. Should MLB find a way to keep its contests going into September (and hopefully beyond), then the Red Sox’s record of excess spending will be expunged in advance of the 2020-21 offseason.
  17. Nope. They won’t reap the reward of that if COVID-19 derails the season, according to the Boston Globe’s Alex Speier. The full schedule must be played, or else things revert to 2019, where the Red Sox spent beyond the highest luxury tax ceiling.
  18. EO Perez Weber ??? Osich is going to start tomorrow as an opener followed by Godley.
