  1. Would Margot have started on day 1 ahead of Beni?
  2. Career .140 ISO, .500 ISO over 4 game stretch... Goes from hitting a HR 2% of the time to 15% in 4 games. Don't care...
  3. Cora is like 25% IMO. Bauer is like 10%. It's just bad timing for the Sox and a guy like him. Plus, we have no idea what he's looking at for a contract. To me, it makes more sense to lock a guy up like Mookie than a starter like Bauer.
  4. You think there's a thought process to these posts?
  5. He would have been the 5th OFer behind Pillar this year.
  6. I still haven't heard back from him after reaching out.
  7. This team was not bad in 2019.
  8. I know. It's almost as frequent as that master baiter joke.
  9. More like a toilet flush of money, amirite? I'd be surprised if JBJ got more than 6AAV. Pillar barely got a sniff last year and he's a decent comp.
  10. He's a good follow on twitter for sure.
  11. Why would we want a cheater like that tho?
  12. Sign JBJ and Kevin Millar. They should be cheap.
  13. Looks like Robert Stock won't be back next season: @RobertStock6 Thinkin about signing up for the Space Force
  14. No nerve was touched. The Mariners were 6 games below .500. In a normal year, they would have been out of in by Sept 1. This Sox team is closer to the playoffs than your Mariners team.
  15. Ticket sales have NOT been an issue in over 20 years though?
  16. Born into it, but one of my first Sox related memories was Yaz's last game.
  17. They have had sustained success for the past 20 years and have spent a s*** ton. It's not like they've all of a sudden become a team that has no shot to make the playoffs like the Mariners. If Sale and ERod come back healthy and they sign Bauer, this team is competing with the Yanks and Rays for the division.
  18. What situation? They could have kept Betts and reset the cap later on. They just didn't deem Betts worthy of his payday. They said they were willing to pay him 300M. If he said yes, would they just have said "whoops, sorry, we didn't really mean it?"
  19. They could lead the league in spending every year and still make money. They don't. They have the capacity, they don't have the will. It's fine. I don't think they should automatically spend as much as possible. It was a CHOICE to not re-sign HOF bound Mookie Betts. They could have kept them if they wanted to. They didn't want to.
  20. And I highly recommend the "Bill Lee: Baseball Odyssey" documentary about him barnstorming in Cuba.
