    Is transmission immediate? As in would you get a positive test if you ran into a COVID player yesterday? Testing window for general public is 7-12 days right now, but I think the MLB players are getting tests back within 24 hours.

    I would agree that the weird season is going to have some real negative affects. I don't agree that a big hit would drastically change the Red Sox because I think they were probably on the outside looking in even with expanded playoffs.

    @craigcalcaterra I mean, two weeks in they started changing the standards as it was, calling their protocols "a living document." Given that there is no clear standard stated for a shutdown, they will never, unless absolutely forced, admit that one is warranted. I don't see the government stepping in to shut down the season. It's more likely the players walk out if ERod situations start appearing elsewhere.

    As we saw with the NBA bubble and players sneaking out, human nature will always bring too much risk. Does having everyone in one location actually make it worse when someone inevitably gets sick? Is the bubble life causing people to drop their guard around others also in the bubble? I think MLB is in a better position to play during a pandemic because there is less human contact. NBA/NHL/NFL all seem much riskier to me.

    It all depends on what your definition of blowing up means. Also, with the unknown factor of how much baseball will be played, I doubt there will be any big trades.

Two infectious disease experts say the positive results fit the definition of “a clear outbreak” with the club. So why did the Marlins play baseball on Sunday? Anyone think they'll get to August 31 at this rate?

    The first two suggestions were not in jest though. If you want to move Bogey and Raffy, you need to find a trade partner that has a below average SS/3b. Get their mediocre MLB guy at that respective position and grab two decent arms. If you don't trade Raffy, you need to lock him up long term.
