    I think I mentioned previously that Kutter Crawford was probably going to be on the 40 man last year. He's pitched damn well this season. 46.1 Innings, 3.30 ERA, 64 k, 5 bb, 0.82 WHIP, 0.609 OPS.

    It's a big mystery when/if he'll pop back up. That's the only reason he fell so far in the draft in the first place. May was not a reasonable estimation since he's in flight school and a lot of $$$ has been spent on him. Maybe by next spring at some point?

    I don't see the Sox getting into a bidding war for Gray, but sure. R Hernandez alone SHOULD be enough to get Gray.

    @redsoxstats Josh Taylor's slider is one of 8 pitches in MLB that has over a 50% swing and miss rate this year, minimum 100 pitches swung at. Other include deGrom's slider and Ohtani's splitter. There are 693 different pitches that have been swung at 100+ times. Should have DFA'd him in April!!!!!!!!!!!

    @SoxProspects Devlin Granberg went 2-for-4 with an RBI double in Portland's 6-3 win today. Now slashing .356/.371/.621 in 89 plate appearances for the Sea Dogs, Granberg has had two or more hits in his last four games. Granberg has come out from nowhere this year. Bat is finally holding its own.

    I think you could find a better bargain elsewhere than Perez at 6M. Perez is fine, but I think they need higher upside guys if they are ready to compete going forward.

    Next year, you could have Seabold/Whitlock/Houck/Pivetta all trying to be squeezed into the rotation. If ERod doesn't re-sign, that would leave 4 guys scrambling for 2 spots. Sale Eovaldi Free Agent Whitlock Houck

    @SoxProspects Big Joe Davis went 3-for-5 in Greenville's 7-4 loss last night, his first official game with the Drive. The 24-year-old first baseman was recently promoted after slashing .333/.384/.577 with ten home runs for Salem. Budget Niko Kavadas is doing his thing.

    I'd almost rather him stay in one place and just not get injured. Let him dominate. If he can bring that to AA next year, he can move up quickly.

    Not for Gray anyway. You'd have to get a Berrios type to give up a top prospect.

    Doesn't that reduce the benefit of switching from LHP to RHP or vice versa. Isn't it to the Sox' advantage to switch between LHP and RHP in a piggyback situation?
