  1. @JeffPassan BREAKING: The Oakland A's will start exploring relocation possibilities after Major League Baseball suggested the organization consider moving to other cities if the Howard Terminal stadium proposal is not approved by local politicians. Should have been allowed to move to San Jose 20 years ago.
  2. https://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/ANA/attend.shtml Not much of any impact. That team has had strong attendance since the rally monkey days.
  3. Ottavino's peripherals aren't all that different from 2019 (some are even better). I think the big change is he's getting less swings for balls outside the zone and is throwing much less first pitch strikes. If you are starting off down 1-0 and not getting batters to chase, you're going to struggle a little. He was lucky in 2019 and less lucky this year.
  4. There are all sorts of unrealistic ways to get Munoz on the roster. I'm for all of them. Yes, Munoz and Mazza would have been on my Opening Day roster.
  5. He's the modern day Ciriaco. Only difference is I think Munoz could be decent.
  6. Good chance that Munoz keeps hitting and Santana doesn't. That'd be when.
  7. Arauz gets the call because he's on the 40 AND plays adequate defense. If Xander went down with a long term injury, I bet they'd call up Arauz and have him bat 9th.
  8. He was DFA'd. He's sitting in WOO playing alright so far. I think he's just a UTIL guy, but the Sox like Marwin better.
  9. Kind of a weird reason. It'd be cool to have at least one good rivalry series each weekend.
  10. Schedule makers don't do much thinking ahead of time.
  11. No. Max signed with the Nats in January 2015. Price signed with BOS in December 2015.
  12. I would say not many since the O's are 16-19. Take out the first series against BOS and they are .500.
  13. Maybe. I'm not really a believer in Toronto because of their pitching. Maybe it gets better when Pearson comes back?
  14. Maybe he would have been perceived as having more value if he didn't have those arm troubles?
  15. According to jacko, the O's and Sox were supposed to be lightweights. Hasn't quite worked out that way.
  16. Interesting. I don't see the Orioles making a big jump in the standings this year. They have some interesting players, but are still very mediocre.
