    I put Groome in that deal instead of Ward specifically because he had a higher BTV value. I'm not sure I'd do that deal. I think Ward and Groome are both huge question marks. Not sure which I'd put my money on.

    I'd rather hold onto Ward if I could. I'm just really unsure about Down at the moment. He's not a great glove. He's not hitting well in AAA. Only 3 2b's so far? What is going on with him this year? Downs 2019 1.116 OPS in AA (small sample), .862 High A Downs 2021 .632 OPS in AAA

    Houck is still coming off an injury. Would they push him that soon? I'm not sure what the plan is or if they are going to give him the April/May Whitlock treatment.

    Short term guys: Greinke Verlander Scherzer Blackmon Semien Jansen Morton Duffy Crawford Miller JBJ Kluber JD Not all elite, not all prime years. The elite/prime year guys would be: Bauer Arenado Bryant Freeman Story Correa Rizzo? (is he even elite anymore) I wouldn't see us signing ANY of those elite guys. I could see us trying to grab to high priced/short term SP's like Scherzer and Duffy if they can't re-sign ERod.

    Per BTV: Mancini for Jeter Downs Mancini for Dalbec, R Hernandez, Rosario I think BTV undervalues what the O's would want for Mancini, but I'd consider either of those trades.

    I agree. I'm just saying that I like Mancini as a player fit. I think he'd be great for the organization. I don't think I would make a trade for him at the deadline though because he'd be cost prohibitive.

    Framing is only a skill because it's meant to trick umpires into calling every pitch a strike. Receiving is a more appropriate skill as it's simply about handling the pitch coming in.

    Mancini would come at a premium due to what he means for that ballclub. I'd take him over most of the other guys though.
