  1. Continuously pushing reset and wiggling the NES cartridge to make it work. They needed to pull it out and blow on it.
  2. I'll take the middle road in lieu of the 18 inning days.
  3. They could have done anything more than trade for a 1B on the IL.
  4. I literally said they didn't have to reset (i.e. they already reset).
  5. @ChrisCotillo Red Sox expect Verdugo to fly back to Boston on Wednesday night... says he got to LA five minutes before the baby was born.
  6. No, they didn't have to reset. They could have done anything they wanted to do. They chose to limit themselves.
  7. @PeteAbe Sounds like new father Alex Verdugo won't be back until Thursday Pete Abraham follows me.
  8. I think they were expecting to be competitive this year, but not in first place. They were indecisive at the deadline and dropped the ball IMO. There's no guarantee that they'll be in first place at the deadline in any of the next 3 seasons. Need to take the opportunities when they arise.
  9. I'm wrong, I think I'm getting a couple of conversations from earlier in the season confused. You stated that Dalbec should be able to get back to a 300 OBP. I said he needed to have a 330 OBP. Regardless, he's been worse than either you or I hoped for.
  10. 905 OPS at the launching pad.
  11. JayCutlerDontCare.GIF Why have your starting 1b be a minimum wage guy? Makes no damn sense if he can't perform.
  12. Lineup for 8/10 is ready. Post is not. Tick tock. Tick tock.
  13. He can miss up to 3 games. He should be back on Thursday.
  14. Houck has been solid, not spectacular. Let me know when he can go 6 innings.
  15. And so many Sox fans are completely jealous of their success for some weird reason.
  16. Well, he did think Dalbec was certain to get his OPS back to 730 this year or so.
  17. @redsoxstats Rays coming to Fenway lined up with Patino, Fleming, and Yarbrough. Not exactly Glasnow, Snell and Morton walking through the door. Win the series, take care of the O's, the damage is done but a good old-fashioned pennant race will be on.
  18. Houck is in AAA. He's eligible to come back sometime this week though. (Friday?) @BillKoch25 Christian Arroyo and Danny Santana only recently resumed baseball activities. Neither one is all that close. Brasier is most likely starting a rehab assignment this week. Schwarber felt tightness and was given reduced activity. They will try to ramp him up again this week.
  19. He's coming off TJS.
  20. Brighter days are ahead, but they need to minimize the damage in the meantime.
  21. He's terrible at SS, so this is probably done with a nod to his future.
  22. ChiSox are winning in spite of their manager.
