It was always annoying to play MVP 04 and not have Millar. What am I going to keep Jeremy Giambi or Dave McCarty to play at 1b? Play Papi at 1b fulltime? Create a new character? Put Ellis Burks at 1b? I'd always just use a FA signing on Andres Gallaraga and have him stand in for Millar. While an active player, Millar was not a member of the MLBPA (Major League Baseball Players Association), and therefore his name or likeness could not be published in officially-licensed video games. Many games nevertheless included him and other non-MLBPA players, with fictional names and different appearances. In MVP Baseball 2004, he was not included. In MVP Baseball 2005 and MLB Front Office Manager, Millar is replaced by "Anthony Friese". In Major League Baseball 2K5 and Major League Baseball 2K6, he is replaced by "Carlos Ahearn". In MLB 07: The Show and in MLB 08: The Show, he is replaced by "Ivan Jimenez". In Major League Baseball 2K7, Major League Baseball 2K8 and Major League Baseball 2K9, Millar is replaced by "Kyle Morgan", with the same initials. In MLB Power Pros 2008, he is replaced by "Great Johnson". In MLB 09: The Show, on the online roster update, he is replaced by "Dave Herman". In MLB Dugout Heroes, Millar is replaced by "Kane Matthews" with the same initials. In all instances, the statistics of these characters are based on the real Kevin Millar. Other guys who appeared as strikebreakers in 1995: Brian Daubach Cory Lidle Lou Merloni Alex Ramirez Peter Rose Jr Now, Lou Merloni was in MVP 04. How did he get into the MLBPA? I'm going to have to figure out why Millar was not allowed into the MLBPA but Merloni was.

They started 1995 off with scab players right? I think that's why Kevin Millar was never allowed onto MLB video games because he played in some scab games.

I left Yaz off because he didn't play 1b in the 60's and his best seasons were as a LFer. He had one season in the 60's as a CFer, but felt it was cheating just to put him there. I'm not a stickler for rules on stupid games like this though.

Los Angeles metro population: 18.8M (park sucks to get to, but is only 3 miles from downtown) Boston metro population: 4.9M (park sucks to get to, but is only 3 miles from downtown) Tampa metro population: 2.9M (park sucks to get to and is 20 miles away from downtown and across the bay) I think convenience is a very big factor with the Rays attendance. However, unless it's tried out elsewhere in the Tampa area, we won't really know. I just feel like the overwhelming Lightning attendance number shows that there is a desire for local sports in the area. Factoring in the good tv and radio ratings for the Rays, it shouldn't be a big wonder as to why it isn't working out for them right now. They have a young, successful and exciting team. They just can't fill that stadium in St Pete.

It's a bad opinion. They have good tv ratings. The stadium is a pain in the ass to get to with the bridge traffic. The Lightning lead the NHL in attendance. Their stadium is in Tampa where all the Rays fans want a new Rays stadium. If a lack of attendance was solely due to "transplants" then why do the Lightning pull so well? The Panthers have horrible attendance because the other side of the road is the Everglades. The location sucks. If the location was better for the Rays, they'd have better attendance.

He held the career MiLB home run record at some point. I love my late 80's PAWSOX.
