Well, Air Bud's puppies (in cannon) were almost adult age when puppy napped (for the second time, they were originally puppy napped in World Pup) in Seventh Inning Fetch. Seeing that Buddy appeared for the Angels in the WS at the end of this movie, I think it's a stretch that the puppies would finally be making MLB after Spikes Back. It's known that each puppy was raised to be separately and each uniquely trained for a different sport. I can't imagine that they would all be trying to get to MLB. I could imagine Duran popping up as Josh and Andrea's long lost relative, but it's not something you typically see in an Air Bud joint.

He started playing OF in Lowell, I think. It's not like the conversion was last year.

There also is a window for when you can test positive. If he was positive back on 8/7 and 8/8 when he had back to back losses, he'd probably have a negative test now.

The most I'd give him would be an 8th inning stint after he straightens himself out. It's 9/2 and he's out on COVID. The season is going to rapidly come to its conclusion. I'm not sure there's enough time to get Barnes back to a closer position.

In terms of Duran's swing, he drastically changed his mechanics in 2020. I think he still needs to refine his approach a bit which would help tremendously. Maybe Cordero can bounce back, but his issues are largely from missing so much time due to injury. He lost a lot refinement along the way. I'm unsure if he can get it back.

The only problem is that none of those prospects on the horizon are OFers, unless you're talking about Salem and lower.

They also didn't need the top of the line guys. They just needed upgrades to what they already had. Nobody should have been expecting an ace or a top of the order bat.

Sox could develop 1 or 2 guys at a time IF they had carrying tools. If Duran could play sufficient defense, he'd be out there everyday. Since his defense is poor AND he isn't making contact, he just can't be on the Red Sox right now. You could hide a struggling JBJ in the 9th spot because his defense made up for it. When Duran is playing, he's not providing much of anything towards a winning ballclub. All Duran has is speed. That's a bench player right now.

Hosey had an usustainable BABIP in 95. Duran is probably better.

The only redeeming part of Gallo's game is that he has carried a 18.8% bb rate since joining the Yanks. Yanks basically traded for OF Bobby Dalbec from earlier in the year.
