After 883 games and 3247 at-bats over nine minor league seasons, Jack López will be getting his first big league start at second base tonight. Along with winning a Silver Medal at the Olympics, López has slashed .260/.321/.378 this season at Triple-A.

His offense fell off enough this year that he's probably not worth $7M to anyone. This has also been his worst defensive year by far. Sometimes the clock ticks a little more quickly for catchers. He's not playing like a 30 year old. He's playing like a 35 year old.
