As you can see in Anaheim, even a transcendent talent like Mike Trout can't move the bar much if the whole organization is stuck in the mud.

It's great news. The only caveat is that the pitching in the AFL is a very mixed bag. Arms are anywhere from high A to AAA.

Hard to compare over different decades. Kiké was good, but I'd put him below JBJ. I never bought into JBJ being the best CFer EVER like some posters said. Give me a young Andruw Jones or peak Griffey Jr. Best current CFer is probably Kiermaier.

Sucking to get the best pick in the draft and then making the ALCS the following season seems like a better strategy than going for the perpetually mediocre Mariners seasons. Or not. I'm sure an extra win in May is better than wins in October.

@alexspeier Red Sox won't bring back 1B coach Tom Goodwin, says Bloom. Sox intend to bring back rest of the staff. Goodwin was notably not able to coach first base for Boston during the playoffs as he was not vaccinated. Quality control coach Ramón Vázquez took over those duties for the postseason. Bloom made sure to clarify in the press conference that Goodwin’s vaccination status did not play into the decision.

I was going through the Sox rosters for the seasons of which I was alive and found out that Alejandro De Aza, played in 60 games for the Sox in 2015 and had a 120 OPS+. This didn't really happen, did it? This doesn't seem correct.
