  1. The worst.
  2. Yes, but fans aren't used to seeing a live clock at baseball games. The beauty of the game is that it can go on for 30+ innings over the course of months apparently.
  3. Trivino has a BTV value of 1.1 so... Trivino for Kutter Crawford
  4. Yes, the org just needs to pick one.
  5. You're going to have to show me that math. 25-17=13?
  6. Pitch clock will be an even more drastic change for the game.
  7. It doesn't have to be Renfroe OR Dalbec. I would have sat Schwarber yesterday and played Dalbec. Can always bring in Schwarber once the LHP is out.
  8. Just make Houck the closer.
  9. Counting the revolving door of mediocre AAA arms is cheat mode. Grullon replaced Lucroy. Verdugo was brought in via trade of their best everyday player, same with Pivetta. If he's creating self inflicted holes, obviously he is making more work for himself. It has little to do with what was left in the cupboard. Counting Mitch as filling a hole is also pushing it IMO. Puello was barely used. The only guys on here that were truly added and actually mattered to the roster were Perez, Pillar, Plawecki, Arauz and Valdez. Not a murderers row of great additions. Plawecki is the best of the bunch and I could see him getting replaced this offseason.
  10. I'd be fine if it was only balls and strikes and they got rid of instant replay. Then fans who want to yell at umps will have an opportunity to do so.
  11. And he knew we'd luck into getting the best prospect in the draft. A veritable coup for a team on it's way to the ALCS.
  12. Let the human ump have umpire discretion for obvious blown calls.
  13. Well, he's "good" but not "great" yet.
  14. It's a hole that Bloom didn't address then? In fact, he PUT WEBER IN A STARTING PITCHING ROLE.
  15. Renfroe has come up in some big spots and has not delivered. Arroyo has been barely adequate. At least he's made some good defensive plays. Dalbec should have been given some more AB's. Not starting him against LHP is weird IMO.
  16. Baseball is probably not as big of a deal in HS's across the country at the moment.
  17. Sox are at the lux tax line and made it to the ALCS. Seems like he's a good big market GM.
  18. Vaz - C 1b - ? 2b - ? SS - X 3B - Devers RF - Betts CF - JBJ LF - Beni DH - JD Bench - Chavis SP1 - Sale SP2 - Eovaldi SP3 - Price SP4 - ERod SP5 - ? CL - Workman RP - Barnes RP - Brasier RP - Taylor RP - Hembree RP - DHern RP - Weber That's 19 roster spots taken up by "DD" guys. Are you referring to 15 openings on the 40 man?
  19. @SoxProspects Jeter Downs went 2-for-4 with a home run (3) and a walk in yesterday's 11-9 Scottsdale Scorpions loss. The 23-year-old shortstop has gotten off to a hot start in the AFL slashing .357/.550/1.000 over 20 PA. He's homered in three consecutive games. It was nice to hear that Jeter really wanted to go to the AFL. It's even nicer to see the results. Fingers crossed for 2022.
  20. My current wants for 2022: Renfroe/Verdugo platoon in RF Baez for 2b Stroman Re-sign Schwarber
  21. And happy anniversary to Carlton Fisk's Game 6 HR, an event I wasn't yet alive for.
  22. Nice to see glimpses of vintage Sale as well. It wasn't the overall result we wanted, but I can see a path going forward.
  23. And if the Sox are just going to lose, might as well do it earlier in the day and not have everyone ruin their sleep for it.
  24. Changing the umpires doesn't change the game at all. Shifts, launch angles, openers play a much bigger role in how the game looks. Changing to an automatic k zone would be unnoticeable after the first week.
