They moved Rafaela because of bad roster construction and injuries that gave him no other option. If there weren't injuries to the MIF, Rafaela wouldn't have left CF. It was either that or play a guy who could barely OPS 700 in AAA.
97% of his time was spent at 2b or SS. He really wasn't a super utility guy like Brock Holt. I think he just moves guys around that aren't good enough to play one position fulltime.
They also had Abreu play LF. Think they are just moving guys around because it's ST. Also can't hurt to have him get reps just in case he does have to run out to RF in an emergency situation.
How's Stanton feeling these days? Well...

No way is he getting an extension. They are just going year to year with him now. He'll be 32 at the end of his BOS control. No reason to give him any more years right now.
I don't like it, but if the schedules are balanced going forward, it doesn't make a difference. I'd rather they go back to the strict AL/NL split and two East and West divisions.
