  1. I don't think he's batting 1.000, that's for sure.
  2. I sleep very soundly at night because I put TalkSox head scratching posts behind me and move on with my life.
  3. Definition of head-scratcher informal. : something that is confusing, mysterious, or hard to understand We understand the trade. We know why he did it. It's not mysterious or unknowable. If you disagree with something, it doesn't make it a head scratcher.
  4. Especially since that investment was out the door before the trade was even a twinkle in his eye.
  5. I'm fine with you agreeing. I just don't understand your head scratching. You can disagree with the reasoning behind the trade and state that it's wrong. That's a fair assessment. You continuing to say it's a head scratcher just makes YOU look bad.
  6. It just shouldn't be a "head scratcher." We've all made the case for why the trade was done. You just don't want to listen.
  7. Capital offense? Now who's doing the strawman?
  8. If you thought they could go over the lux tax cap, it wouldn't be a head scratcher. Also, that wasn't a strawman.
  9. Sign Suzuki. Trade some prospects for A's pitchers. Call it a day.
  10. The offseason isn't half over. Maybe they use their prospects to trade for starting pitching? Maybe they think replacing Richards and Perez is easy to do? Maybe they think a full season of a healthy Sale will make up for losing ERod?
  11. "It's a head scratcher because they definitely won't go over the budgetary estimate that I came up with all on my own." Wild.
  12. Why are you more concerned about Bloom's budget than he is? If he's not concerned about it, maybe your budget estimate is wrong?
  13. All you've said is "it's a head scratcher." At this point, you probably need to call up your PCP.
  14. Sounds like if they just dumped him if he struggled in 2022 that it would be just fine then. So what's all the worry for?
  15. Maybe Bloom's budget isn't the one you have stuck on your dart board?
  16. The real decline starts at 35. He's not there yet.
  17. But why? Bloom clearly values JBJ's glove. He didn't make the move because he was bored.
  18. That's because you are a good poster.
  19. If he has a 700 OPS and is playing his typical solid CF, you can hide the bat in the 9 hole. It's more than I'd like to pay, but I think the overall value to the team is better than what we would have had with Renfroe because it also upgrades 2b by moving Kiké there.
  20. Wrong. If the Sox already wanted to sign Suzuki, they knew they could/should deal Renfroe.
  21. That happened long before the Sox signed JBJ. Sox felt they didn't like ERod's number and they moved on. It had nothing to do with JBJ.
