  1. And just like that... runs.
  2. See what they can do 3rd time through the order.
  3. Raffy with the GG double play there. Amazing.
  4. Thought Whitlock was set to piggyback today?
  5. I think he makes the diving catch.
  6. Don't the Sox coaches align the players?
  7. @JoeyMacHockey WooSox' home-opening lineup: Downs SS Casas 1B Refsnyder CF Cordero LF Stewart RF Wong C Fitzgerald 3B Ramos DH Sanchez 2B Pannone LHP Fitzgerald had been out due to being a "close proximity" to COVID.
  8. The bigger deal with Arroyo is that his split against LHP may not be a big enough difference maker to keep JBJ out of the lineup. Whatever. Someday we'll be like "remember when they through Arroyo out there in RF? What a world."
  9. I don't think JBJ even catches that bloop.
  10. I think Kiké has more range these days. He can't play CF and RF at the same time though.
  11. Hill looking for a bp role.
  12. 88 on a tee down the middle on 3-0. Give your guy the green light.
  13. I'm sorry for you. I missed the first diving attempt. Was it as graceful? Did he knock the ball even further away that time?
  14. Tigers score. Game over folks. No way can the Sox' lifeless bats make up this difference.
  15. At least Arroyo didn't injure himself.
  16. What I was referencing was the idea that 1st place in the division was the goal. Theo had 1 division title and 2 WS titles. Dombo had 3 division titles and 2 WS titles.
  17. It's the Red Sox "take a pitch" challenge.
  18. Tigers starting lineup batting averages: .063 .200 .313 .133 .308 .167 .000 .000 .000 It's not just the Sox this time of the year.
  19. @byJulianMack Trevor Story is here in the Red Sox clubhouse. He said had some sort of food poisoning that has kept him out.
  20. Sox have a 737 OPS against this guy. No reason to get shutdown today.
  21. Who is better: Theo or Dombrowski?
  22. The easier way to look at it is: 2002: no CBT 2003: under 2004: over 2005: over 2006: over 2007: over 2008: under 2009: under 2010: over 2011: over 2012: under 2013: under 2014: under 2015: over 2016: over 2017: under 2018: over 2019: over 2020: under 2021: under 2022: over for now It's hard to really say if they'll go over again this year or try to go under. They reset for 1 - 3 years it seems like. If they stay over, I guess they go over in 2023 and then get back under in 2024? It's hard to really forecast. It's not as simple as moon is making it out to seem. If they go for it with younger core teams, why didn't they go over in 2009? There was no difference between that team and 2010 really. They reset in 2020, so why not go over in 2021 when you still have JD/Xander/Raffy? If they are waiting for the next young core to mature, that might not be until 2024 or 2025. Will they go over in 22 and 23 and then force themselves to get under in 24 when they could have a young core? Who knows! Not us.
  23. They are always towards the top, that's for sure.
