  1. Easier on the eyes.
  2. Better glove. I think at this point the bats are similar.
  3. I'd rather Brock in the lineup than Shaw.
  4. Sorry, it's not the Mayor's Cup anymore. @RedSox The race for the Chairman's Cup continues.
  5. The season series vs the Twins is tied 2-2. It's no time to run some jabronis out there. Need to get that Mayor's Cup!
  6. @BeyondtheMnstr The Braves released infielder Brock Holt per his request, he will become a free agent. C'mon, Bloom... Do somethin...
  7. Sale says he's feeling better and hopes he sees good results in the MRI.
  8. Sale is getting a follow up MRI today.
  9. @IanMBrowne Today at home against the Twins: Hernández CF, Devers 3B, Arroyo SS, Martinez LF, Verdugo DH, Dalbec 1B, Vázquez C, Bradley Jr. RF, Araúz 2B, Wacha P Cora doesn't trust Story enough in their run for the Mayor's Cup!
  10. The lowest prediction for JD this year is ZiPS at: 342/482/824, WRC+ 117, 2.3 fWAR Bo Bichette last year: 343/484/827
  11. Ended his season with 0-10, 6 K, 3 L's. Clearly in decline! Also, that bum got on base zero times in a do or die situation against NYY in the WC play in. Pffft...
  12. Those don't compare with being 9 years old in October 1986. Pain.
  13. If the Sox replaced JD in 2023 with Trey Mancini, that'd still be a downgrade right?
  14. Kiké had a 110 WRC+. Should he not be the leadoff hitter?
  15. May - Oct: 806 OPS, 111 WRC+ He was Anthony Rizzo for the remainder of the season. Ok?
  16. Nope, moon says JD and the Sox should be faves to win the East, IHO.
  17. Yes.
  18. notin doesn't like when players hit homeruns.
  19. Getting to 200 hits is only slightly more than 1 hit per game.
  20. @IanCundall Some thoughts after a week at Red Sox minor league spring training: 1. Mayer is the real deal 2. Casas/Mayer/Yorke is strongest top 3 since 2016 (Moncada/Benintendi/Devers) 3. Group of high-minors arms projected for bullpen is deep, talented 4. DSL/FCL group from '21 is promising Last one is bolded for moon.
  21. A 200/700 hitter would be kinda cool. For 600 AB's, that'd be like 420 total bases. That'd be top 10 all time. Guys who have slugged above 700 since 1960: Larry Walker 99 Albert Belle 94 Larry Walker 97 Frank Thomas 94 Mark McGwire 96 Sammy Sosa 01 Barry Bonds 03 Jeff Bagwell 94 Mark McGwire 34 Barry Bonds 02 Barry Bonds 04 Barry Bonds 01
  22. In 2020 and 2021, they were clearly trying to stay under the cap. I wonder if they are willing to go over now so much so that a $4M contract to a reliever shouldn't be a big deal.
  23. https://twitter.com/Jared_Carrabis/status/1509220052633014277 Devers goes oppo today.
  24. Good for the NL East. Looks like they'll get a break this year.
