  1. As much as I dislike him, Jose Altuve is one of the most clutch post season hitters I’ve ever seen.
  2. Freeman was considered one of the best up and coming coaches in the industry. He would’ve been hired quickly if Notre Dame didn’t promote him to HC.
  3. He is really young, and is really good players coach/recruiter. He has a lot of talent coming in and I do think he’s getting better every week. I know it’s hard to be patient in college with a team expected to compete each year, but there was some “growing pains” expected with Freeman. However, He already has as many top 10 wins as Brian Kelly had in 12 years. I like Freeman
  4. If the Phillies make the World Series. I’m considering buying a World Series ticket and driving to Philly for the game (it’s about 2 hours from me in Maryland). I have no rooting interest but I want to attend a World Series and never really had the opportunity either due to location or finances. So go Phillies!
  5. This game makes that Louisville loss even more frustrating. The defense was amazing against the future #1 pick Caleb Williams and Benjamin Morrison is proving he is the best corner in college football. This game did feature another another boneheaded play though. With the Irish up 21 near the end of the half, Notre Dame gets a strip sack, which USC got back and half the defense ran down field and was celebrating the sack. Meanwhile, USC was running to line trying to spike ball for the field goal. Notre Dame was forced to call timeout to avoid a penalty and giving USC the field goal (which they got anyway). If they weren’t celebrating the sack, I’m not sure USC would’ve had enough time to snap and spike ball. It didn’t matter, but it seems weekly a mental error happens like this from either a player or the coaching staff.
  6. And why 14 years? because if we used 15 it would've resulted in another AL East team making it in the 08 Rays? 16 years and it would've counted the 2007 Red Sox?
  7. Diamondbacks up 4-0 and on the verge of sweeping the heavily favored dodgers. Wow
  8. Bryce Harper is one hell of a playoff performer
  9. What do you use? I have all the games on YouTube TV, and they were on at my work who has Verizon.
  10. Happy for Nate Eovaldi
  11. Carlos Febles was also fired
  12. The Sox also just fired Dave Bush
  13. I know that some people are rooting for the Orioles because they haven’t won in forever and it’s a “cool story” but f*** the Orioles. Go Rangers!
  14. This game is largely on Hartman. 5 turnovers is unacceptable
  15. Two of the AL East teams eliminated
  16. I felt this was deserving of its own thread. Wakefield was a great teammate, great player and did a lot for this franchise. The Red Sox unfortunately just announced on Twitter he unfortunately passed due to cancer Prays for his family and hopefully his wife can beat this terrible disease
  17. I don’t understand the prevent defense s***. It only makes sense if there is like 5 seconds left and the other team needs a miracle. Dukes blitzes were causing issues all day today and on the biggest play of the game, against a team with their top 3 WR out they decide to rush 3 and not even spy Hartman? Makes no sense
  18. He’s the best QB Notre Dame has had in awhile. They lose this game with last years QBs.
  19. Those OBP numbers are actually kind of shocking. I didn’t realize the league leaders were that low
  20. Sam Hartman is one hell of a player. That 4th down run was a player winners make
  21. Curt Schilling is truly a sack of s***
  22. I definitely prefer NFL over college, primarily also because I play a lot of fantasy football and find it easier to bet on than college.
  23. Yes. They came out of a timeout with only 10 guys on the field
  24. And Marcus Freeman’s excuse or “not wanting to get a penalty” when he realized there was only 10 men on the field is ********. 1. How do you only have 10 men on the field on BACK TO BACK plays 2. The “penalty” was half the distance when they’re on the 1 yard line. I think having a defensive lineman actually in the game is worth the penalty
  25. DJ Brown dropped two INT Notre Dame only had 10 men on the field each of the last two plays The dumb prevent defense on 3rd and forever. Bad coaching at the end and costly dropped interceptions were the difference, along with the missed FG that Moon mentioned.
