    Will Middlebrooks (calf) could be activated from the disabled list as soon as this weekend. Middlebrooks has played in one rehab game for Triple-A Pawtucket and is expected to play in two more before being re-evaluated. If the Red Sox decide he's ready at that point, he'll be activated for the weekend series in Toronto.
