    I like that idea, aside from maybe adding more rounds. I think the draft is long enough. Teams are literally drafting guys that have no chance of playing in majors as it is. Torii Hunter and Ken Griffey Jr both got drafted just due to their dads playing in MLB, despite the fact neither play baseball anymore. Then you have teams drafting NFL players like Manziel, Jake Locker and etc that have no interest in playing baseball.

    I don't understand this guy's obsession with sticking up for umpires, regardless of how bad the ump is, he'll come in here and stuck up for them. Why? The Red Sox winning despite a s***** umpire doesn't change the fact that the ump was s*****.

    First of all, Bogaerts was moved positions because another young player (MiddleBrooks) was struggling and then got injured, which forced the team to make a move, at the time the most logical move was to move Xander to 3rd (which he played the year before) and have Drew at SS. Xander wasn't "blocked" and you said this "f***ed up Xander" which isn't true. You said this: There is not a "history" of Farrell benching young players who should start over veterans, that is false and I'm not even a Farrell supporter. Did you ever think that MAYBE Xander struggled because he was a 21 year old rookie in his first full season in the majors? Nah, that can't be a possibility, every player comes in the league like Albert Pujols and the only logical possible reason a rookie would struggle is John Farrell sabotaging them...

    We shouldn't mess with Wright at all. He is one of the very few pitchers on this team whose having a good season.

    So John Farrell signed Stephen Drew, made the decision by himself to shift Xander's position for Drew and this f***ed up Xander? Damn, if Xander didn't get "f***ed up" I wonder how good he would be...

    How was Xander blocked? He still played when Drew was signed.. If anything, Farrell has been favorable to young players. For example, starting Shaw despite Sandoval's experience and contract. And yeah, Xander was really "f***ed up" imagine how good he would be if Farrell didn't mess with him..

    Curry/Thompson/Durant/Green Iguodala and Livingston are still on the team and you can guarantee old ring hungry veterans will sign cheap like they always do (David West last year, Battier/Allen with Heat, Richard Jefferson with Cavs, etc). This is going to be so dumb.

    Porcello had a rough first inning and didn't have his best stuff, but he grinded it out and I'll happily take his performance. Koji remains a conern though.
