I have no idea why we kept him, I was arguing we should've DFA him and rolled with Vazquez and Leon.. Haven't seen any reason to change that opinion.

Either way, whoever made the call to not pinch hit is an idiot. It ended up working out, but the choice to let Hanigan hit was a bad one. He's been dreadful.

Literally any position player on the team is a better option than Hanigan. I obviously can't blame Farrell, but Torey Lovullo or whoever didn't make the call to pinch hit for Hanigan really missed one there.. I cannot think of any logical reason to let Hanigan hit there.

This has been one of the shittiest, sloppiest and just all around ugly baseball games I've ever seen. Hanigan can't catch the knuckleball, isn't hitting, turns 36 in a few days and is injury prone. What does he bring?

Don't forget the legendary Bobby Jenks! He was another reliever who had a wonderful stint here. -
He has an OBP under .300.. I'd rather have Pedroia who does everything better besides hit for power.
