  1. This hitting is really pathetic. Horrible AB's by Pedroia and Xander.
  2. Can we please f***ing score some runs
  3. Butterfield sent him, Phillies announcers were mentioning he made the decision to send him. John Kruk also noted the Red Sox have had 28 base runners thrown out on the base paths attempting to advance an extra base, which is by far the most in the league, I think he said next closest was 18
  4. I just can't convince myself that Smith will be a big time contributor this year. He's coming off a serious injury and we don't know if he'll be the same person. If he could come back, that would be awesome, but I still think we need another depth piece for the pen.
  5. There has been a lot of talk about this teams rotation, but there somehow hasn't been a thread on the bullpen. The Bullpen was supposed to be one of the weaknesses of this team, especially after the Carson Smith and Thornburg injuries, but they've actually been really good. Kimbrel is having a dominant season, Joe Kelly has been elite set up man, Robby Scott has been fantastic, Matt Barnes has mostly been good (despite a few hiccups), and even Hembree has been okay as a middle reliever.. s***, I can remember at least two games where Fernando Abad pitched 2+ innings and got a W in extra innings, he's even been really good. I never thought Blaine Boyer would be a solid contributor, I didn't even know he was still in league, much less in Bostons organization, but he's actually given the team some big innings lately also. Looks like the pen has actually been a strength. I still think we could use at least one more solid arm, as I'm not sure what to expect of Scott in his 1st full MLB season, and Barnes and Hembree tend to be inconsistent and prone to meltdowns. I don't think we need an elite arm, but something similar to last years acquisition of Ziegler to sure up the back end.
  6. Peralta and Plouffe were both DFA, so they should't cost much of anything at all, so might as well take a chance on at least one of them, its low risk.
  7. I feel like that's an excessive amount of hate. How do people actually HATE JBJ? I understand being frustrated with his streaky hitting and slumps, but the dude plays his ass off, hasn't even gotten paid yet and is a good player, I just don't get how you hate a guy like that. I am a full on supporter of Mookie, JBJ, Beni, Pedroia and Xander. I love what all of them are doing this season, have done so far in their careers and believe they will do in the future. Even with Pedroia's dumb comments after the Machado ********. I also really like like E-Rod, Sale, Kimbrel, Robby Scott, David Price (Yes, I still support him), Chris Young, and Marco Hernandez. Only guys I hate on the team are Pablo (self explanatory), Hanley (I actually do like him, but he's playing like such an idiot), Pomeranz (His games last 5 hours every time) and Kyle Kendrick (he just sucks, I hope he never makes another start in Boston). And by Hate, I just wish they weren't on the team, I don't actually hate them as people lol.
  8. Plouffe isn't very good, but he's probably better than we currently have, so might as well take a chance. I am completely against giving up anything at all of value for him though.
  9. I am not high at all on Velazquez, he was good tonight, albeit against a bad lineup, but he got rocked in Oakland, and doesn't seem to have great stuff. I don't think he has much of a future but we don't really have a choice.
  10. JBJ is the man. As I've been saying for years, if we get ANYTHING from his offensively its a plus. His defense will save so many runs we can afford to have him hit .200. He's a guy I've always been a homer for and seeing him do well makes me very happy.
  11. The Phillies suck, but they're still an MLB team, all the wins count the same. Its encouraging to see them beat this s***** team, as they should.
  12. This outfield is f***ing amazing.
  13. But he is more valuable than any of our other bullpen pitchers. I wouldn't need him unless we need too.
  14. Holy s***, what a play by Benintend
  15. I wouldn't, he's pitched the last two nights.
  16. Mookie is having a ridiculous night.
  17. I'm okay with it, I hate day games on any day but Sunday.
  18. Velazquez the MVP tonight
  19. Benintendi!! Lets gooooo Shout out to the pen!
  20. f***! I thought Moreland just won it there.
  21. These late ass games are getting really annoying.. Jesus
  22. Moreland has been ridiculous defensively lately. Every since me, and a few other posters were s***ing on him, he's picked it up.
  23. Whenever I fly, I also use Southwest, they have good rates and good customer service, but the commercial still sucks ass.
  24. f*** you, Southwest
  25. Well there isn't a situation for him to get a save in the game, so there really is no "right" time to use him in a tied game at home. I'd rather use him in 9th and have him throw a shutdown inning, than not use him at all.
