  1. Oh sweet! Thanks for the info, although i'm a little worried about bringing Dice-K out there for a couple of innings only to have another rain delay and lose him for the entire night.
  2. How long does it look like its going to be delayed?
  3. http://www.nydailynews.com/gossip/2008/05/16/2008-05-16_jason_giambi_wears_thong_when_in_slump_s.html From the NYDAILYNEWS: Yankee slugger Jason Giambi wears a gold lam?, tiger-stripe thong under his uniform when he wants to break out of a slump - and he shares it with hitless teammates who want to get back on track. "I only put it on when I'm desperate to get out of a big slump," he tells Portfolio.com. Over the years, the 37-year-old All-Star has left the "golden thong" in the lockers of slumping teammates Derek Jeter, Bernie Williams, Johnny Damon, Robin Ventura and Robinson Cano. "All of them wore it and got hits," he reports. "The thong works every time." HAHA WTF?
  4. What is the point of this? Do they want us to think that A-rod is a good guy? This is some pretty dumb s***.
  5. According to the weather.com forecast for fenway park tonight there is a 100% chance of rain. There will be periods of rain accumulating about half and inch. I hope they get this game in tonight. Suppan is just the kind of pitcher we need to break out of our slump. I would really like to see Dice work efficiently tonight and avoid walks that cause his pitch count to rise quickly.
  6. It is a fantastic deal for the Brew Crew. Now what they should do is try to lock up Prince Fielder as well.
  7. Welcome to the site! It's always great to have more die-hard sox fans around.
  8. http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20080515&content_id=2706849&vkey=news_bos&fext=.jsp&c_id=bos Great news today from Bartolo. He went 6 innings (64 pitches) allowing 0 runs, 1 hit, no walks and struck out 4. I'm really starting to like this move to bring Colon in and with the way he is progressing, he could pitch some big games for us this year. EDIT: http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?n=Bartolo%20Colon&pos=P&sid=milb&t=p_pbp&pid=112526 Here are Colon's numbers to date from AAA
  9. Lol i saw that, although it was kind of a miss by the fan. Either way its nice to see Manny acutally make some nice plays. It would've been really nice had the team actually won the game.
  10. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3397385 Last season's NL rookie of the year will be staying put for quite some time. He signed an 8 year, 45 million dollar contract with the Brewers today. It is the Brewers biggest contract ever.
  11. s***. 2-1 Yankees. Gabe Gross just hit a SHOT up the middle but jeter was positioned perfectly and turned it into a double play. Mussina was impressive tonight. WTF?
  12. This is f***ing ridiculous. Cassell needs to sit, hes deadweight right now.
  13. Not a good game today at all. We once again build a decent size lead of 3-0 and then for some reason the offense thinks that it would be cool to just stop there. Lester looked good early today until the end of his outing where everything started to be up. Hansen's line does not look good but, in my opinion, he really didn't have that bad of an outing. Okajima is showing that he can not be trusted with inherited runners and maybe Francona and Mills will decide to look at the damn stats and only bring him in for a fresh inning. It's just so frustrating to watch the offense have weak AB after weak AB and then have our lead slip away throughout the game by the subpar pitching performances. These guys better rest up and be ready to go after this off day
  14. Seems like by the data that you've been posting, that we've been getting screwed alot lately by these umps
  15. Well even if this slumping offense is not able to comeback, I still consider this a successful outing for Lester who really is impressive when he goes right after the hitters and can keep the ball down.
  16. f***ing ridiculous. These are teams that we should be beating.
  17. Do the coaches even look at the god damn numbers during the games? 8 out of 11, now 11 of 14, inherited runners have scored off 'Jima
  18. Youk is really showing a lot more power this year. I think its due to his more agressive style at the dish this season
  19. TEK! Thats twice now that hes hammered the ball. This time with much more success. 2-0
  20. Hahahaha. AWESOME! MANNY WITH THE DEFENSE
  21. So far so good today with Lester. He's attacking the zone and working very economically at 19 pitches (14 strikes) through 2 innings.
  22. That run was manufactured by Ellsbury's speed. Infield single, SB and scoring on the base hit. 1-0
