    Why am I so good? At least the no hit bid is gone, but we gotta get some runs. Beckett doesn't deserve the loss in this game at all, it is the putrid offense that is responsible.

    Duchscherer looks great out there right now. 22 pitches through two innings. I like Tito giving Manny the day off, hopefully he can clear his head and stop worrying about #500. Nick Cafardo: OAKLAND - OK, Julio Lugo has 11 errors, but he can't be going this bad can he? Manny Ramirez is currently taking ground balls at shortstop. Manny's got the night off, so I guess he's just out there having some fun. He did it in Baltimore last week as well. So far he's fielded every ball cleanly.

    Jesus, Silva and the Mariners realllllllly suck. No idea how the guy managed to get 44 million dollars this offseason, he's mediocre at best.

    I'm so torn on the issue. I really like the human element on the game, very well knowing that there will be some missed calls throughout the seasons, but lately so many game-changing calls are being messed up. I just don't like the idea of slowing down the game to do the replays, delaying all action like in football. I have to agree with Optimist, that unless these umps improve their performance, instant replay will be needed to stop the game from being decided by a blown call.

    Well I guess those were just rumors: FROM ESPN - Pedro Martinez, who returned to the Dominican Republic to be with his sick father, said Wednesday that he plans to stick around for at least two more seasons. "I feel great physically and for the record I haven't considered retirement. Retirement would only take place if my arm is badly hurt and if I have to face surgery or something near that nature," Martinez told ESPNdeportes.com while visiting his father, Pablo Jaime, who has a form of brain cancer.

    6 walks? Jesus, that is awful. This is why Dice-K is at 90 pitches in the 5th inning, he needs to go right after hitters and throw strikes.
