  1. Without Dave Roberts we most likely don't win the 2004 World Series.
  2. Haha the Dodgers love to take pieces from the Red Sox-Yankee rivalry don't they? Well I'm sure Bellhorn will provide them plenty of strikeouts and remind them why he's been out of baseball.
  3. I agree, it really doesn't help the team out when your leadoff hitter is batting .257 with only 5 SB.
  4. ******** call right there. Its gonna cost Dice-K more pitches.
  5. I'm really impressed with Matsuzaka today. He's mixing up his pitches, working very efficiently and thankfully not walking many guys. I really am starting to think that Dice-K's struggles last year were due to getting used to the strikezone and the different style of baseball played over here in the US. I like this new, good Dice-K.
  6. HAHAHAHA The ump talking to Lugo was hilarious
  7. Nice slider by Dice-K to get Fielder there. So far so good today for Matsuzaka, only 1 walk compared to 3 K's.
  8. :ortiz: Hell Yes. I didn't think that had a chance of getting over the wall. I'll take it. 4-0
  9. While i like that Lugo is acutally batting above .200 this year, it really seems that he has NO power. 0 HR in 124 at bats this season. No idea how the guy hit 8 homers last year.
  10. Nice job working out of it Dice-K. Now the lineup needs to keep working Suppan and score some runs.
  11. Varitek can't get it done. Luckily, they made Suppan work pretty hard, throwing 31 pitches, hopefully helping us get into the Brewer's pen early and tire them out.
  12. Ballgame over. Mets win 7-4. Decent outing by Santana, although he allowed 3 HR's which is probably a little alarming for Met's fans.
  13. Wow it might be time for the mute button already. Thanks to McCarver I now know that Manny cannot climb the green monster. Thanks Timmy
  14. He's throwing pretty much all fastballs right now. 12 of his 13 pitches have been FB's.
  15. As Jayhawk Bill said last night, with the double header being so close today there will probabaly be a big strike zone today which is really beneficial to Dice-K to help him keep his walk total down. Let's Go Sox!
  16. This could be really tough on the bullpen. Not only is there a quick double header today, but they have to play a 1:35 pm game tomorrow as well. Dice-K is going to have to go deep into the game today because they have Wake going tonight and he is completely unpredictable. We're also going to need Beckett to step up and be the true Ace that we all know he is tomorrow.
  17. Welcome to the site Zach. You'll find enjoyable, in depth conversation around the board.
  18. Unbelievable. The umpire gives Pettitte a complete gift on a 3-2 pitch to Easley. Bases still loaded now with 2 down. EDIT: 3-2 Mets!
  19. Sweet. 3 consecutive hits by the Mets to start the 4th inning. 2-1 Yankees and the mets have runners on 1st and 3rd. LOL at Johnny Damon's pathetic attempt to throw the ball home.
  20. Jeter two run homer against Santana. 2-0 Yanks. Awful pitch by Santana, a changeup left right over the heart of the plate.
  21. Ugh Postponed. Double header tomorrow at 4 and 8:35.
  22. Best of luck to him. I hope he takes all the time he needs to make sure that he can get his life in order. I hope he has a complete, speedy recovery. Get well soon Anthony.
  23. The Celtics have the better team and a home court advantage. Even if "anything can happen in game 7" I'd still take the Celtics chances over the Cavs. Not to mention Lebron has not even had a true dominating performance in this series.
