I completely agree. Colon's problem last year was that he was gassed after the all star break. No point in making him throw a ton of pitches and tire out his arm already. I like that they are easing him back into action.
Colon only threw 74 pitches. I thought he was going to go 85-90 but i guess he was a little gassed as last time in AAA he only threw 64 pitches in his outing.
Trust me when I say that I love what is happening to the Yankees, but it seems like people are more concerned with the Yankees getting blown out tonight than they are in the 2-0 game that we are engaged in right now. :dunno:

Julian Tavarez has accepted an outright assignment to Pawtucket after clearing waivers but don’t look for the veteran pitcher to remain there long. It appears that Tavarez only did so to allow the Sox some added time to complete a trade that will land him back in the big leagues sometime in the next few days.
