    His Pedroia imitation is pretty funny too. These guys are living the dream. They get on-field passes to all these different parks and VIP treatment for waving around a plastic bat.

    I agree with you about having Joba in the pen. It's like essentially shortening the game to 6 or 7 innings. He's filthy when he's got that fastball cranking up in the high 90's and then mixing it up with a slider in the dirt. But as for the Sox being the better team, it's all based on our HUGE question marks. If our guys come back healthy and put up numbers like their career averages we are going to be in good shape but if the injuries linger and Ortiz, Lowell, Drew, Saito, Smoltz, etc, can't come back from their injuries we could be screwed. We have the potential but it is all up in the air at this point. You gotta love baseball

    I can't say that I agree with you. I found the WBC to be pointless and a risk to our players who were playing. I wish they did away with the whole thing, it just wrecks our players for the season.

    I can think of another big time power hitter who also also played s***** defense and was still a success in Boston (manny). I just like the potential of having Youk, Ortiz, Dunn, Drew, and Bay all in the heart of the lineup, it would be deadly.

    Why would you ever put a 40 HR guy on the bench? I know his defense is subpar but for that price and that consistency at the plate why not give it a shot. Has he said he won't play 1B?

    If his price really is that low then I would go hard after him. After taking a look through his stats, his power is enormous and consistent while his OBP is solid even with all the K's. Go and get him and trade Lowell.
