  1. Minus the stuff and success when he actually decided to throw strikes! Had to love the 5 ip, 0 ER, 5 K, 5 BB, 120 P stat lines!
  2. Eric Johnson should stick to guitar
  3. It's great to see the Sox actually rough up a fairly unknown pitcher.
  4. Who's panda? Good AB by Brock
  5. I hate wasted opportunities!
  6. I just noticed that Xander leads all SS in WAR since 2015. Cool.
  7. I'm not looking forward to a lineup with Ortiz... Call up Brady, get on his diet, and keep 'raking and rolling back the years! Man, that Sullivan Tire guy is f*cking creepy as f*ck.
  8. Un-f***ning-believable. We just can't score runs all of a sudden
  9. F*ck Clay. Why did we pick up this guys option again? Screw waiting for the good stretch, can he just go on the DL already for the rest of the year and be done with him for good. I'm so sick of his s***.
  10. I don't sleep much and even I don't like late games.
  11. Sorry, it wasn't aimed at you, your quote was just a pick-off point.
  12. I hate this line of thinking because we are all 'from Africa'. "African American" is just political correct nonsense. People are so caught up on racism and skin color. Race is a completely meaningless term. I especially hate the 'race' box on standardized applications, forms, etc. Hispanic, black, caucasian, Jesus jumping christ, 5 boxes, of which there are ethnicities mixed with skin color. Either ask what country you were born in or don't ask the stupid question. 5 boxes... The only way to end racism and any type of labeling, grouping, and judging is to stop labeling, grouping, and judging! Skin color is a really stupid way to identify people, it says almost nothing about a persons heritage, ethnicities, views, etc. Continuing to differentiate, even if intentions are good (such as identifying that racism still exists and people of dark skin and differing ethnicities face discrimination), just exacerbate the issue. Deal with racism, discrimination, and hate as it occurs. Of course there's nothing wrong with people identifying themselves and being proud of who they are and their heritage, though I do sometimes think it can be a little much (Do we really need a LGBT event every single day on college campuses... We get it, your LGBT, you've faced discrimation in the past. This isn't a rally, no one is discriminating you at college, you can calm the f*ck down... I don't go around making "I'm Straight!" events."

  14. Our lineup looks pretty garbage tonight... but compared to Atlanta... can't complain
  15. Can we go back to the days with Farrell as our Pitching Coach, Tito, and Theo as our GM?
  16. WOW. Didn't see this coming.
  17. Already two terrible starts by Price... ugh. Finding way to lose... frustrating...
  18. Hanley might be slower than Ortiz. I can't believe he couldn't beat that out
  19. lol at Bogaerts and Shaw as our 3-4 punch today...
  20. My problem with Pablo is more a problem with baseball. You shouldn't get stuck with a player for that much money and years when they aren't doing their job. I don't care why he isn't doing his job, he isn't doing it, that's all that matters. None of us are his friends, family, therapists, etc. We are Red Sox fans. We want players who do their job (well). It doesn't matter who the individual is, it's the fact that resources are limited in a baseball and he is talking up a big portion of their resources for a long time into the future. The Red Sox should do everything in their power to try to get him help and make him useful. He hasn't earned any spot on the MLB team though and he won't be hopefully until he figures his s*** out or they figure out how to get rid of him. The problem is the fact that it doesn't appear that he is going to be worth anything in the future and we are indeed stuck with him, no one is going to touch him with the kind of money he is due. And quite frankly, he doesn't deserve the money he is getting. It was a completely WTF signing then and it looks like one of the worst contracts in the history of baseball right now. Not good.
  21. What a surprise! Panda to the DL. What a waste of $95 million. I wouldn't have paid this fat f*ck $10, let alone the damned millions they wasted on him. Just yet another reason they need to adopt contracts with less guaranteed money so if you start to suck/show up out of shape your ass is cut. Ben must have been smoking some strooooooooong s*** when he signed that nightmare contract. I still don't get why they didn't have SOME sort of weight clause in there. I mean, if he was unwilling to sign a contract that stipulated that he kept in shape... that should have been a MAJOR red flag. How the hell do dish out that money to someone who won't agree to stay in shape...
  22. I may have to work on an algorithm to do that. It still seems silly to me to try to compare NL and AL pitchers (or just even between different divisions) without quantizing the inherent differences. Something to take the guess work out and make something at least somewhat definitive.
