  1. And as far as you go LINDA. I wouldn't be telling someone whos been posting for awhile here to STFU. Why don't you KYFR( Know Your f***ing Role) and pipe down until you EARN some respect around here. Coming in and popping off at the mouth won't get you anywhere fast here.
  2. Bostonherald.com has an article where Drew says the reason he backed out of his contract with LA, is because he wanted a contract that would let him play for one team the rest of his career. Take it for what its worth, He also mentioned since his family lives in GA he wanted to play on the east coast. Out of all the teams that where bidding on him this offseason besides Baltimore( and you only sign there when you don't have and usable baseball skills left, and your just a name) Boston was the closest choice, and i'm sure since they are the best team and had the most to offer i'm sure it that helped too. Murray chass is a tool, and only brainstormed this up after smoking crack and getting smacked around by his man whore. NYY haven't done anything all off season except trade sheff and big on Igawa, the ass had nothing better to write because he's used to reporting on NYY big signings. Now there isn't any, and he's a s***** writer, he had to come up with something.
  3. Yes 16M for the headache that is Bonds is way too much. I'm actually glad SF was the team that signed him, because anyone else who did I would no longer beable to tolerate. Bonds is a pain and should have just retired already. Yes he probably will break the record next year but I won't celebrate. Bonds is a tool that needs to admit he used roids so that everyone would pay attention to him again and not Mcgwire and Sosa. Even tho I'm a Sox fan and it pains me to say it, I think eventually even if Bonds does break the record, that AROD will break it later in his career if he stays healthy and puts consistant numbers up. I would rather have AROD the HR champ the Barry Bonds.
  4. There not going to beable to dump Pavanos hole salary until he proves he can actually pitch. But if he does come back and pitch decent, why would they trade him? NYY aren't really too deep in pitching at this point, but I guess if they got a decent deal for him theyd ship him off before he hurt his Pu$$y again:D
  5. Ya it looks now like it was stalled, Williams is mad at the media and looks like theres another prospect coming the other way too. Now its not so bad a deal when your getting 3 players back for 1.
  6. Dotel looks like he signing in KC....:dunno: Why everyone is headed there I can't tell. But it looks as tho Gagne is the last option FA wise. Hinske could be moved to PIT for Gonzalez or Torres, but they would have to send prospects too because they already turned down Laroche from ATL and hes a half decent player.
  7. Nice, we already have WMP on the bench. Might as well move him to get an arm. Good idea. A700, I love your absolute hatered of this guy! It's hilarious. Lets ship him off on the piece of ice that Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, the little elf guy, and Yukon Cornelius and maybe he will get eaten by the bummble monster! Merry XMAS
  8. GOM your an ass! But I love having you around:) I was gonna post something like that until I saw you write it!lol
  9. I agree with GOM, I've stated before he's a prick, but if I was a player I wouldn't mind him as an agent.
  10. This might be the dumbest thread yet. As soon as the WS was over there was talk of how outrageous the market could get with the new Labor Agreement in place for the next 5 seasons. People where saying that this would be an off season that would be up there with the 2001 contracts. And I'm so shocked that it would be a NY newspaper reporting this.
  11. You never know, it might be that way. He might be like overpay for Drew and Gagne so my pockets get bigger, and I will be more wiling to work with you on Matsuzaka. Crazier s*** has happend.
  12. As far as NYY fans go, everyone will have down years playing in Fenway. Thats just to be expected, just like when Damon signed with NY, most people wanted him to blow out his achilles in ST LOL
  13. You would think he would want to get a deal done, so that it would set the market ofr his other Horse Zito. Maybe a Matsuzaka deal is pretty much done except for language details in the contract, and he wants to get all his other guys signed before finalizing the Matsuzaka deal. I don't see how you could work with Boras on Drew and Gagne and not mention Matsuzaka. I would imagine they have been working on all three at the same time.
  14. Does anyone know where the payroll is at exactly at this point after the Drew and Lugo signings?
  15. Boras wants 6 M guranteed, if he goes to the Sox expect it to be around 5M. Unless the market for Gagne picks up fast.
  16. Linda, I try to keep an open mind about new posters since i'm notintrenched like some of these guys. But your attempts at making slick, witty remarks about the Sox FO are weak and annoying at best. I see that your trying to say Theo is a GM that asked way too much for his players. But the only negotiation your going on is the one where we tried to pry 3 top prospects from your beloved dodgers for a 1st ballot HOF. Don't be so daft as to think he would ask that much for a ordinary player. If your going to continue to puke up weak post on this site, you might as well go back to Dodeger country, or don't be surprised when you get ripped. I got ripped here at first but learned to post with some kind of intelligence. And don't talk about GM's when your went out and spent 45 million on a track star, pretending to be a legit leadoff hitter/CF. I have nothing against JP, but that is the biggest joke of the off season so far.
  17. Thats funny stuff lol Matsuzaka will except a deal by the deadline. It might not be the one Boras wants but all this s*** about him going back to Japan comes from him trying to squeeze some leverage out of the negotiations. After all the going away stuff the Matsuzaka had, he would be the laughing stock of the country, and he basically would sink the Seibu Lions because they need that 51.1 million to stay afloat. Matsuzaka won't want that to happen, and he won't want to seem like a greedy prick. He will sign. All this s*** about him going back is reporters reporting only stuff Boras is telling them because our FO isn't discussing it and they have nothing else to go on. Boras is basically stuck with a knife at a gun fight and he's just talking a big game up until the moment before the fight starts to see if he can BS anyone, then when it doesn't work he will back off to the side with the gun lol
  18. I can't take Dan Shaunessy seriously anymore, after ripping Manny and heading the mob that was trying to run him out of town, then turning around and saying it was a smart idea to keep him because we where only getting .60 cents on the dollar. So as far as him saying anything about the Matsuzaka negotiations, I'll take it with a grain of salt.
  19. Hansen is supposed to be that guy. He has the tools to do it, I think they just rushed him a little last year. Out of him and MDC I think Hansen has a better year this year.
  20. Garcia for seemingly not much prospect wise. And now with the rumor of Garland for Taveras and Buscholz. Why is Kenny Williams trading good pitching for ummmm..... i'm not even sure what to call them:dunno: . Why Garland who is most likely the best of the rotation and is signed for 2 more years? Why not Buherle who is a FA after next season. CHW will learn as the Red Sox did last year, never trade away pitching depth. If there in the hunt come the trade deadline, I'm sure they will be trying to re-up the rotation. They don't seem like smart moves to me. On a side note as a Sox fan, damn Houston got Garland pretty cheap, makes me wonder what we could have sent in a trade for him. Just curiosity tho:D
  21. Man Williams is giving up alot of pitching for not a hole lot. Watch they will be looking for pitching at the trade deadline.
  22. Meche is a dumass and will probably be dealt to a contender at a trade deadline at some point during the contract.
  23. Yes you have a point Jackson, but with both of them having big bucks to spend next year, its possible to see one get Wells and the other get Jones. Yes Jones is two years older but either would be nice to have. And the NYY will have to convince one of the to leave CF for RF. You never know if that will determine where they decide on playing. Just another thought.
  24. Boras is a dick, but good at what he does. ORS love how you brought out the webster's dictionary reply:thumbsup: Don't expect a deal to get done until the 11th hour of the last day. Matsuzaka has already said good bye, and on numerous occasions has said he wants to play here next year not in Japan. Boras is just trying to get everything he can for this guy now, but Matsuzaka has the final say in if he wants the contract or not, at that point I think he signs the best offer put fourth by the Sox, no matter what it is. Boras is the one who wants big money now or early FA for this guy to make his own pockets bigger, not Matsuzaka. I believe Matsuzaka would have already been signed to a nice contract if he had another agent besides Boras.
  25. I looked at the list, and Foulke is a "no compensation"guy. Gagne if not too expensive is probably our best option, if he doesn't work out look for the to see if Hansen can handle it.
